Problems with Firefox?

Just recently, I've found that Firefox won't even bring up the LVA website, let alone let me log in. On the same computer, Internet Explorer works fine for that--and so does my phone.

This is a recent development--my primary browser is Firefox and I've been using it for years. Any idea re what might be wrong?

Stay in your hole where you belong.

Maybe LVA changed something on their end.  My PCC had newly changed their computer stuff, unknown to me, and suddenly I couldn't log onto the portal.  I'd been using IE forever with no issues with the portal.  I called the PCC office, they transferred me to their IT dept., the lady took me through fixing it, which amounted to switching from IE to Google Chrome, and all was well.  I'm computer illiterate, so that's all I can say or suggest.

All PC users should have a few back up browsers.

I have Edge beta,normal Edge,Opera and Chrome + Firefox.

Sometimes my Ebay payments go stupid and I switch to chrome-that works.

My Opera browser has free VPN and I use that when I need to be invisible..

I'm using Firefox on my Mac, and haven't had any problems.

Like I said...

My Chrome browser doesn't work on my phone at LVA unless I go to incognito mode and log in. That tells me it is likely a corrupt cookie issue. You might want to check Firefox in anonymous mode and see if it works.

The error I get is, "Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit."

Another cause for a page not loading are ad blockers. Some browsers use them by default, but most you have to install yourself. The good ones do a terrific job of dramatically speeding-up page loading, cutting way down on bandwidth usage, and removing all the extraneous crap that today's webpages add to the page's basic content. They also can keep some (but by no means all) malware from being downloaded.

The problem is that webmasters have retaliated. More and more often I'm seeing messages like this: "We see you are using an ad blocker. Please disable the ad blocker to view our content." Sometimes, the page won't load at all without telling you why. When that happens, I disable my ad blocker for that page, and quite often this solves the problem. Switching to another browser often fixes the same problem, because a different browser may not have the same blocking rules or may have no blocking at all.

Anytime I attempt to view a  website and I am seeing the "disable the ad blocker" message, I click off of that page and do not go back. Any site that blocks their content with that message does not get my business.
