Question about 2026 Top of Binions coupon

Thanks for posting the 2026 coupon list.  Question abou the Top of Binions coupon:  it says "up to $100 off," but there's no explanation in the terms.  I think last year the coupon was 25% off, up to a maximum amount.  Same deal this year?

They posted a sign at the restaurant, early to mid last year, with the $100 max new restriction.  So this rule has been in effect for many months already, and continues with this limitation.

I understand the $100 maximum discount, but there must be some specific percentage off.  They can't just offer $100 off, what would they do if someone came in and ordered $105 worth of food?

It would be 25% off of $105.  So you save $26.25, if my math is right.

The intent was for 25% off. They have now fixed the description and terms of service to reflect such.

That's what I figured, thanks.  Hopefully this will be fixed in the printed MRB, it would get chaotic at the restaurant otherwise.

It may cause a slight delay at the restaurant, however I would presume most of the staff and all of the managers are aware of the details of the promotion.

What's on the coupon now and what was on last year are pretty unequivocal and very easy to understand with even a modicum of English literacy skills. Of course, that may not include restaurant staff. Your presumption may not be correct, from my experience anyway,  because I've presented a coupon countless times only to be met with a blank stare. Managers often don't brief their employees in the existence, let alone the details, of promotions.

That said, adding a simple preposition: "Maximum discount OF $100" might have cut the literary Gordian knot.

Over my long casino career on both sides of the counter, I've seen countless mistakes and imprecision in the wording used in promos and on coupons. Confusion and ill will are often the result, which certainly obviates the purpose of the promos/ coupons.

I blame the general disregard the public and businesses have for correct and precise English. I continually get the feeling that I'm a fossil for caring about things like proper syntax and sentence structure.

I hasten to add that LVA is very high on the literacy and English correctness scale, which I greatly appreciate, if for no other reason than that about 90% of gambling books, websites, etc. read like they were written by lobotomized baboons.

I use this coupon every year.  My favorite steakhouses downtown are Oscar's and Andiamo, haven't been to Barry's yet since Oscar's happy hour always draws me in.  But Top of Binion's is always a treat, the service is excellent and I like their bread, butter and 3 salt you're given when you sit down.  Even small things like the 'free' gelato palate cleanser and your steak coming with sides instead of à la carte is nice.  I don't find their steak as good as other places but it's still pretty good and the view is great.

This is a terrific coupon and keeps me going back.  I probably lose value because I overtip but that's ok in my book, it's become a tradition for me to relax here on a trip and eat in a nice legacy restaurant.
