Questions For LVA Membership Platinum 2018

Whats Up LVA Team.

 

Planning to sign up for Platinum membership (altho got confused since I thought Diamond would be "higher").

 

1) If someone signs up mid-year, what happens? Do they still get all the printed newsletters mailed out from the prior months in one big bundle?

 

2) Would many of the Member Rewards Book of coupons have already expired? Especially if someone subscribed later in the year?

 

3) Sounds like Plats get the same thing as Diamonds right? Except for the additional printed newsletters? I think it would be a huge help to customers if you simply had a comparison table just like many hotel/airline elite status rewards programs.

 

EDIT: I had just stumbled upon exactly the table I had envisioned (www.lasvegasadvisor.com/member-benefits). This reall should be added to the shopping page as well (www.lasvegasadvisor.com/shop/product-category/lva-membership). The table is well hidden in your drop down menu.

 

4) Any special reason why 2019 is already being sold? Meaning, is there any benefit of getting it now vs later in DEC?

 

5) I dont see an auto-renew option or a place to save your payment info. Do you have that?

Hi,

 

If someone signs up for the Platinum membership mid-year, your subscription to the LVA would start now and you would receive a monthly newsletter mailed to you from May 2018 - April 2019. If you were to get the Diamond membership, you would have access to the newsletter online from May 2018 - April 2019.

 

All of our coupons in the 2018 Members Rewards Book expire between December 15th and December 31st, so if you purchase the Book now you would still have access to all of the coupons we offer.

 

We offer the 2019 Book for our customers who wish to continue their monthly subscription to the Newsletter for this year but who may not be coming out to Las Vegas until 2019, in which case it is like pre-ordering the Book which will be mailed out the first week of January 2019.

 

We also do not have an auto-renew option.

Appreciate the quick response. Its so awesome that you guys answer questions here and have a contact number + an onsite LV location. Thats huge! I hope AC has major plans to update the look of this website from 1999 so potential new customers know how LEGIT this team is.

 

Few more questions:

 

1) If I get the Platinum membership mid-year, how far back into the online archive newsletters can I access? I assume at least the full 2018 year will still be available? Would also be cool to read prior old newsletters (2017 and beyond) as a reference guide + additional knowledge. It looks like thats online going back pretty far into 2013. All those can be accessed online after membership?

 

2) Trying to find a list of coupons that will be included in the 2018 book. I have read that a preview is available online prior to purchase but I can not find it on (www.lasvegasadvisor.com/printable-member-rewards). Is that the correct link?

After a half decade of planned rework of the website and forums, they just totally revamped this site only about a year ago!  It's brand new!  I can't imagine another update taking place for many years!

 

Curious after knowing that what your comments on "how LEGIT this team is" will be.

If you were to purchase the the Platinum Membership or the Online Membership, you would have access to all of our newsletters online since 2000. 

 

Yes the full list of coupons that we offer in our 2018 Members Rewards book can be found at https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/member-rewards-list/, as well as the terms & conditions for each coupon. 

 

If you were to purchase a Platinum Membership, you will receive a card in the mail when your Membership is going to expire, and on that card will be a place to put your credit card information or you can mail a check, as well as giving us a call and ordering over the phone or renewing online. If you were to purchase a Diamond Membership, you would recieve an email when your subscription is going to expire.

Also, am I able to request the purchase of old harcopy newsletters from prior months? Especially the ones from 2018? I understand prior years may be out of print, but just wondering. Or maybe I could swing by your office and just buy some leftover inventory?

What? Really?! The current website is the updated work from last year?

 

Well, I can only assume a few things:

 

1) Limited budget

2) Keeping the website looking OG dating back to its roots

3) Other major updates are in progress

4) Dont fix whats not broken

5) Have other priorites and are happy with current revenue/traffic targets

 

Since I do not know what their internal goals are, I cant really speak to that, but I can imagine many more reasons. I definitely would say a place like LVA could do a lot more to get insane Kylie Jenner level of global internet traffic. In fact, their parent company, Huntington Press Publishing, has the goal of becoming the complete, one-stop, must-see source of Las Vegas-related information for gamblers, Las Vegas visitors and locals, readers, and the media. If thats the case, they shouldnt be happy with the current 15k newsletter subscribers and 250k web hits per day. We will see. I hope they take LVA to the next level.
