tape on the print version of the newsletter

It's just a little thing, but is there any chance that the printer could use a different kind of tape on the printed version of the monthly newsletter?  The tape that they're using can't be peeled off the paper, so all of my back issues are torn along the edges of the first and last page, and say, "A ONY C S' Las Vegas Advisor."  Thanks!

In the past, when I actually received print magazines in the mail, and they were issues of something I wanted to keep, if they were sealed in the way you describe, I'd use a letter opener to (carefully) break the tape, right behind the cover page, and then gently separate the loose end from the edges of the pages and fold it back inside the back cover page. A pocket knife would work well, too.

If it were possibly to easily separate the tape, then it would inevitably often come apart in the process of mailing, and you'd receive a mangled mess in your mailbox.

My pdfs of the online versions of the newsletter are never mangled :)

Oddly enough, I just received my August issue, untaped and in an envelope.

Nice!  Things are looking up.

Sorry guys, this was a one off. Our mailing house was closed for the week and we had to do all the mailing ourselves, by hand, here in the office. Glad you all got your newsletters fast but just wanted to let you know this will not be the new normal.

Come on people! It is very, very simple. When you get your magazine in the mail take a hobby knife and slit the adhesive discs that hold in folded. Then just take a scissors and snip the sticky portion off flush with the edge of the page. I used to do that all the time with my copy when I got it in the mail. I switched to the online only version because I noticed I was reading it online a day or so before the copy arrived in my mailbox.
