Typo in October Newsletter

There seems to be a typo in the Video Poker section of the October Newsletter. This sentence: "...Arizona Charlies's Decatur has decimated its once-excellent inventory..." That should say that Arizona Charlie's Boulder is the one with downgrades.

Later in that paragraph, it correctly states that "Arizona Charlie's Decatur has thus far retained its good schedules".

Well, it's not totally inaccurate. Until recently, both casinos had six good machines. Boulder reduced them to three, then to zero; Decatur reduced them to four.

No one thinks the four remaining machines at Decatur have long to live. They will soon be dumped into Lake Mead to artificially raise the water level.

I get your point, Kevin. But this sentence in the Video Poker Lost and Found section is about Arizona Charlie's Boulder not Decatur: "According to the online database vpFREE2, Arizona Charlie's Decatur has decimated its once-excellent inventory, with the best game now Airport Deuces Wild (98.91%) from 1c to $1 and all in multi-hand games."

And Decatur is correct in the next sentence: "Arizona Charlie's Decatur has thus far retained its good schedules."

I hope that someone at LVA will see this and at least correct the online edition.

I've never seen them make corrections to the online newsletter after publication. Might be technical reasons why it's hard to do.

Things change so fast (as in, recently at least, "shit happens") in Vegas that two weeks after publication of a given issue, half a dozen things are no longer true anyway. That's why we tune in here every day.

Kevin, I was trying to ask the LVA here about a blatant error in the October newsletter. vpFREE2 did not report that Arizona Charlie's DECATUR downgraded their video poker. They did report that about Arizona Charlie's BOULDER.

And yes, the LVA has made changes to the online edition after it was released and even to the print edition if they found out about it in time. That's why I notified them about this right after the newletter was released.

This has been fixed in the online version. Thanks for the heads up.

I do not see any correction to the online version. I refreshed the screen, logged out and back in and waited overnight but I still don't see any change. What am I missing?

This sentence in Video Poker Lost and Found, "According to the online database vpFREE2, Arizona Charlie's Decatur has decimated..." should be "According to the online database vpFREE2, Arizona Charlie's Boulder has decimated...". "Decatur" should just be changed to "Boulder" in that sentence.

It's ok now. Thanks for making the correction.

I put the Over/Under for the demise of those last four machines at four weeks.

But as Rick said in "Casablanca," we'll always have steak and eggs. At least, until they raise the price again.
