Just wondered if the Golden Nugget is getting a little tight, since their buffet coupon didn't show up in the book this year. I also miss the Hertz,car rental coupon. We always ate once during the week at the breakfast buffet, its probably the most expensive downtown. Afterwards we played a while at the Casino, perhaps not this year. Any comments from staff on this?
Golden Nugget is the only downtown casino that didn't participate. They want to be a Strip casino and are acting that way in several areas. This isn't a sour-grapes response; it's the attitude they conveyed to us in ending the relationship after several years. My feeling is the same as it has always been -- don't go where they don't want you. I think we'll see the Hertz coupon back soon, perhaps as a Printable Reward.
That is too bad. That coupon is one of the only reasons I ever went there.

The Golden Nugget certainly has "Strip" paytables (translation = really terrible) on their video poker machines.
