1,000 Tier or 2,500 Tier Day Experiences here............

I've been curious to read about how others are doing with the New Tier system?

Last Sat., I managed a 2,500 tier day at Ballys & Paris. (YES, play from both casinos counted as One)

Wasn't sure though...................About 10pm last Sat night, my card was Reading, 1,596 Tier
while playing at Ballys. I wasn't sure if that included my Paris play that day, or Not??

So, 10pm, I went to the Ballys players club booth, and it was Closed already. On a Sat. night? sheesh.
Went back to playing..........rather to be safe than sorry.

Later that night, checked my card & it was at 1,866.
That was IT for me. I was too tired to continue to play, and ready to call it a night.
HOPING I managed 2,500 Tier? But didn't know how to confirm late at night.

Next morning, went back to my Fav. machine, and stuck in my card, and it read: 7,000 + Tier
So I obviously DID do 2,500 Tier between both props, and playing at Ballys, only showed the Ballys tier points. NOW I know.

Anybody else attempting the 1,000 or 2,500 thresholds?

do you play the dollar machines to be able to get that many points?
Sorry if this is not a welcome response because I only did a 500 pt day. I only had one evening between 6 and 12 pm last week at Ak-Chin but wanted to try it out. I did notice that I was pretty worn out by about 10 but once I got to 400 tp I pushed ahead to 500 and spent the extra time (and $$!) I ended up with 736 pts and did not think I had played the extra pts to 600 but will take it.

CET def is on to something here because in the past I would not have spent the extra time. It would have been a big loosing night if not for the $800.hit on .5c WOZ before I went to bed and I know I cannot count on that happening again.

I also have noticed that I am less willing to just run to Vegas for a few days knowing that I will need to push my play from now on. Seems like we also might be less likely to bounce around in Vegas, as the points are not as easily kept track of when moving casinos, which is my favorite part about Vegas.
I am also interested in how people are able to rack up so many points. I play pennies, which we know may as well be dollar machines, but if not doing well I do sometimes end up with min bets just to make my BR last longer.
We did a 2 night stay down at Horseshoe S. Indy a couple of weeks ago. Did 2 days of 1000 points and did 500 the day we left. Our bonus points hit between 24 and 36 hours the following day of play. The first morning when the bonus points were not there I ask at the desk and was told that corp. was handling adding the bonus points and not the individual casino and to expect to the bonus points in 72 hours. On the 2 nights of 1000 points we were in an odd place. It was to late to try for the 2500 but yet early in the evening. Ended up going to the pool (it closes at midnight). 1/3 of the way to diamond and it is only January.

FYI--a lot of people were grumbling about the diamond lounge in S. Indy. It was our first trip to the diamond lounge there so just passing info on. You get 4 free drink tickets for happy hour on Tuesday and Thursday only. Used to be every night-unlimited. Roast beef is served every night. I believe the changes in the lounge and the entire program it to weed out the locals that go in and play $50 3 times a week and are diamond and come in load up on freebies.

I went to joliet last sunday and hit a $3,600 jackpot so I tried going to 2500 points. Did not want to lose it all so i stopped at 1400 points. Now I'm mad myself for losing some of that money to try to get to 2500. They definitely are on to something with this new tier system. My goal now is to stop at 500 or 1000 (unless of course I hit really big lol) The extra 1000 points hit two days later.
Didn't mean to leave out the 500 tier days. Just thought it can be a big leap, from 1,000- 2,500,
and was curious if others are attempting?

I play mostly 3/5 play quarters. Alittle 10 play, but not alot. Also some single line dollars.
Also did some single line quarters at Ballys. Overall a loser day (but then so was the trip)
and doublt I would go for the 2,500 again anytime soon.........unless I was in the Zone.

Also, should say, my Motivation for a big Play day, was because I was earning tickets for 200k drawing
at Paris/Ballys the next day. Sorry to say I won No FP on that contest either. What a waste.

Other than earning the extra Tier credit..........I must admit I Haven't had such a stinker trip,
and then getting sick.........in a very long time. Hope THATS behind me for the year........
I imagine that I will attempt 1000 on at least one day of a longer stay, although as I said I have thought about and decided not to make a Vegas run already this year. In fact I considered it for this week-end but thought better of it. This strategy may or not pay off for CET...
In an interview on NBC last night, Gracie Gold was asked how she regrouped from her short program and was able to skate so well in her long (program). In addition to describing the range of emotions, she realized she needed to be true to herself and skate true to herself.

This is how my trips will be again this year. I'd rather have more trips, some impromptu, than make my hobby seem like work. If I do more than 1000 points per day it will be because I am having a good day, not because of playing for tier status. If it's late at night and I have 486 points, I might push for 500, didn't on NY Day. If I'm having a bad night and have only 200 points, I'll call it a night.

Vegas28m, congrats on your jackpot. CLV, glad you're feeling better.
I agree Lisa.
MissL777 - and of course I took a picture but didn't post it because i don't know how. - lol
