24 Hour Buffet Pass Strategy

We received two coupons but it was because we have two different Visa accounts. We also have two different TR accounts. We used one of the coupons on a July trip when we stayed at Ballys. We had a dinner at Paris and then early breakfast there in the morning. Then we ate at Bachanal for dinner.

The most expensive buffet prices are for dinner, so you should try to work that into your planning. When I did it I used it for a late dinner on Day 1, ending with an early dinner on Day 2 for 4 meals in total. On Day 3, I just paid for breakfast and lunch and bought the pass to start with a late dinner and once again ending with an early dinner on Day 4. I guess it really depends on how long you'll be in Las Vegas for.
Just got back last week from our trip. We were going to do the dinner to dinner thing but ended up earning a free buffet at the Wynn we wanted to try (300 points in 1 day with a new membership) so we only did 1 day as we had to leave the next morning before any buffet's opened.

During the check in, we know they entered a few things into the computer, but I never noticed her checking to see if it expired since it's only good 6 months after you receive them. Since there isn't an expiration date on them, it makes me wonder if they'll still accept our 2nd one after the 6 months? They buffet goes on both persons Total Rewards cards. We're not going to Vegas again until next spring so we'll give it a shot. It never hurts to ask.

Meanwhile, we had breakfast at Paris and was very impressed. Thank goodness the Visa card makes us platinum as there is always a line there. 2nd stop was mid afternoon at the Spice Market. Not impressed at all. Feels like you're in a basement, and oh yeah, YOU ARE! Last stop was World Carnival at Rio after Penn and Teller because they were open until 11pm. Really enjoyed that one, even though we were still kind of full from the first 2 buffets.

I honestly can't say the 24 hour pass is worth it if I had to pay for it. Usually 1 and maybe 2 buffet's per day is enough, and with your 2:1 coupons, you can do 3 buffets of your choice for about $60-$70. It was fun to use the coupon though as we hadn't been to any of those buffet's so we got to try new things for free.

I tried using mine this past weekend. I was told at the TR desk at Flamingo that the vouchers already issued are now good for 12 months. They are extending their use. I was told this after I was told that it was a blackout weekend since it was Labor Day weekend. If I can use it in the future, great. If not, oh well. it was free.

Last week we waited till 7:00 to get our free ones. Worked it into 2 dinner, a breakfast and lunch. Paris, PH & Harrahs.
There's probably another thread on it somewhere, but what is the surcharge to use the pass at the Bacchanal buffet at CP?

Thanks.

I believe it's $10 (or $15) for breakfast, $15 for Lunch & $25 for Dinner. BUT, this is per person, so we thought it's kinda dumb for Dinner, as you'd be spending $50. Also, for the Seafood buffet at Rio, it's only $10. These prices were from May, so things may have changed!!!
We would not buy the pass either as several buffets in 24 hours is not our bag. We arrived at the Rio the afternoon of 8/21, put off dinner as long as we could, ate breakfast the next day and dinner at the seafood buffet (add $10). That is about all I can eat in 24 hours. Those of you who said dinner, breakfast, lunch and dinner sure like to eat. At the Rio they just placed what we were entitled too on our cards (my wife had to appear at the total rewards counter with me). Also since I am a one year Platinum we had immediate entry to the buffets so no worrying about the 24 hour period expiring while waiting in line. We found the Rio buffets to be first class.
