$500 celebration dinner for 7 stars

I was told by my host that she has to make the reservations for each dinner for each $100 I use in vegas and then they will have the voucher at the restaurant waiting for me. I read on the 7 stars insider newsletter just to make the reservation and go to total reward and they will print the voucher. anyone know if i can do the 2nd option?
Only a Diamond, but I went to Total Rewards for my certificate. I had made reservations for the Sterling Brunch months before. I had no problems and they didn't even ask me where I was going to use the voucher.

I guess things get more complicated when you are a Star, lol.

Joy
Joy - that is right. never again will I make 7 stars. It definitely is not worth it.
I made reservations on line at "Opentable" for the Steakhouse at Harvey's Lake Tahoe. The day I wanted to use $200 of the $500 allotted Seven Stars money, I walked up to the Total Reward's desk and got two separate $100 vouchers. I will use the other $300 another time. I never used a host for that.

Thanks. We like to use open table also so we will do that
Yep, what your host told you is absolutely not true. Make your own reservation and go to Total Rewards to have your voucher(s) printed out. The one thing that my host told me that's different this year is that you're SUPPOSED to go to the Total Rewards booth in the casino where you plan to dine to get the voucher. Honestly, I don't know if that's true or not since I was already staying where we planned to eat.

I still have $300 left to use. Gotta make sure I do that. I am 7 Stars until March 31, 2017, but I'm so disillusioned with CET since the whole bankruptcy cuts happened that I don't even want to play there anymore.

Enjoy your benefits and hope they don't downgrade them again come April 1, 2016.
this will be the one and only time I will make 7 stars. definitely not worth it.

As usual another CET host that doesn't know what she's talking about. Make your own reservation, go to the Total Rewards booth and ask them for a voucher (you can get all 5 if you want, they're good until 3-31-16) and give it to your server when the bill comes.

Sorry Mare, your host doesn't have a clue either! You can get those vouchers printed in Atlantic City (they've got a kiosk to print them from) and use them ANYWHERE that accepts them. It doesn't matter where they are printed. If you're in Vegas you can get them printed at the Linq and use them at Caesars if you want. There is nothing on them that prohibits this and you sure the hell don't need a reservation made through a host (or any reservation for that matter).

I just love the way CET wants their 7* players to do everything through a host because it's supposed to "enhance your experience" as they say. The only problem is their players know more about the system than they do.
