ADT - how long do they last....

I know that no one may know the answer to this question, however, I figure it's worth a shot-- thanks for your replies in advance--

A little history--
I'm qualifying for Diamond this month, I joined Harrahs prob 4 years ago, I've been steadily gambling since this August and my ADT from what i was told was 150 in Sept-- and should now be around 200 - 250--

I'm getting decent offers as far as comped rooms and free play-- from the non-vegas casinos around Arizona and Phoenix $ 50/ week at Ak Chin and $ 60/twice a month in Laughlin - these have both incresed marginally each month--

My question is how far back is ADT based, perhaps it resets as the Tier Score for calendar year, or do they take into account the entire past year, the past 3-6 months, or do they calculate it based on your entire play since you signed up...

Welcome to the boards. At one time ADT was based on a 6-month average. Today, I'm not sure. One of the best ways to leverage play into offers is to concentrate your play on one day. The higher your daily average, the better your offers.
I too have had much higher play days in the Az props lately than in Vegas and when I started trying to book Vegas recently I found that my "Vegas ADT" must not have benefited from that play. When I spoke to TR rep about it (not a host - I do not have one,) she indicated that my local play did not count in Vegas. My understanding had always been that your play counted toward ADT systemwide, but now I am questioning that. It might also have been the fact that I hit AkChin twice on low play days for the 12,000 RCs, which would have brought my ADT down. CET is so hard to figure out that i have almost quit trying!!
I get fabulous offers from Laughlin and was I only there for one afternoon in January. I think some markets work harder at luring people back. Most of my play is at Rincon and my offers are fairly low.

I agree with all of the above, the market definitely dictates the offers, the offers probably are also influenced by the last 3-4 trips....My vegas offers are junk, earning 2000 points in a weekend got me $ 10 free play, that same play at the AZ casinos has gotten me a lot more. I have also read if you are getting a comped room in vegas, you are basically in the red, until you earn the points to dictate the free room and evaluated on the amount above that figure. Nonetheless, i am now diamond, i have decent offers, will prob start to hit laughlin every 6-8 weeks and vegas only once or twice a year...

thanks for the responses- hopefully now that i am diamond i will get some more offers, however, i am not holding my breath
I have a question, when I check out I pay with my points, for food, gift shop, etc.... If I do not play that morning, does it still count as a day?
Mikey, hard to tell. Different people have had different answers when they have inquired with CET. I typically pay with points directly at restaurants or retail to avoid the 8.1% sales tax. If I for some reason have outstanding issues that I want to cover with points, I will stop by registration the night before to square the bill just in case it matters. If I am paying the balance with credit card on file, I don't worry about it and just check out on TV in morning.
Mikey7777, historically yes, using points without play counts as a trip. Having said that CET is like a chameleon. ALWAYS CHANGING. I've gotten to the point, my play is what it is and my offers will be what they will be.

If one is concerned about offers, concentrate your play and all activity on your card on one day. I have relatives who live very close to Ak-Chin, play on the same card, and have made diamond for next year. They pick up almost every piece of swag offered and sometimes use the DL on days they don't play. Nor do they always play on day they download fsp, pick up swag or download bonus reward credits. Their weekly fsp has dropped to $5 per week. I usually give 1 good play day per month, have not renewed diamond for next year and not sure if I'm going to. My weekly fsp has stayed at $25 per week. So there is correlation between play and offers.

eholmes, at one time local play did count toward ones ADT system wide. That was when each property in Vegas was considered a separate property. Today, it could very well b different.
Thanks for the info, I wish I would have paid the day before, live and learn.
