Anyone else planning to do The Great Race to Rewards?

I see that the second link is for "The Great Race to Rewards Giveaway." (It appears to have no connection to the "3/4/5/6 Destinations to earn Reward Credits" Great Race.)

All of the prizes for the "Giveaway" are trips and gift cards. Here is the e-mail I received after signing up.

According to the official rules of this contest on the second link, "checking in" is about using a wireless mobile device.

Once you click the 2nd link, it asks for your email, then the next page it wants your email & TR number--apparently this is "opting-in" tho it certainly isn't very obvious!
BTW, was at Council Bluffs yesterday & the clerks at TR desk said just put my card in a slot machine to activate it (um, no) & a manager had NO knowledge of the program. So I could not "opt-in" there as no one knew how...have heard people in Vegas going to TR desk & having no issue.

Nymph11 - yes, you have described "opting-in" for the Great Race to Rewards Giveaway, which awards prizes of trips and TR gift cards. You can sign in each day for daily prizes.

But that is NOT the promotion to earn Reward Credits by visiting CET destinations.

It seems crazy to me how some locations know about the program and others do not, especially since this is a nation wide deal and requires alot of travel by customers to participate in it.

I hope people on this board will report on how this is actually working at the various locations.

Dave - also add to the CET insanity that they are running at least 2 promotions (at the same time - with the same names) with totally different prizes and rules!!! Oy!

I am heading to Caesars Windsor tomorrow and will see if they know anything.

Harrahs Rincon (Northern San Diego) has kiosks just outside the TR den for this promotion. I just swiped my card, TR boothlings busy, so didn't ask them. Anyone seen kiosks in Las Vegas CET properties?

This is correct. There are a couple of online promotions (games) related to the promotion to earn the bonus reward credits. As I was told at Ak-Chin, to get the bonus reward credits, one needs to opt in in person at total rewards. Some people have reported that some of the properties have kiosks.

I believe the official rules are posted on page 1 of this thread and indicate that one needs to opt in (swipe one's card) in person.

FWIW, Ak-Chin has an overview of the promotion listed in its July mailing.

Not defending CET, just pointing out, they frequently have online games (promotions) that coincide with promotions happening in the casino. This isn't the first time.

MissL you are absolutely correct. Mr. Hernandez's email specifically said that this was the link to opt into the destination portion.
