Anyone else planning to do The Great Race to Rewards?

This is a bit confusing.
I went to that site and all it asked for was email addy and date of birth.
Since I had already entered Paul a few weeks ago, I entered my birthday
and Welcome back Paul!!!
This is tied to your email, not your Total Rewards number.
Just to be safe, we are opting in at each location in person.

I'm heading to LV in August and would be happy to swipe your card and put a point on your card if you need it. If anyone is going to some other destinations, I'd be happy to send you my card to swipe. If interested, send me a private message.

Just talked to a fellow LVA member who is in Vegas right now and was going to do the same. He just emailed and said that there are NO KIOSKS in Vegas. I'm guessing you'll need to check in at TR desk w/ ID.

The site DOES ask for your TR number on the second page; it would HAVE to be linked to your TR#, as you once you opt-in, you simply put your card in in machines to play...
I emailed Harrahs. Here is the email I received about the promotion.

Thank you for contacting us about The Great Race to Rewards promotion. There are a couple of ways you can opt in to the promotion. First, you can have your card swiped at any of our casinos throughout the country. Or, you can go to www.caesars.com and look for The Great Race to Rewards banner on the main page. Once you play the online game, it will automatically opt you in. We hope you have a great summer and look forward to your visits.

Just returned from an overnight trip to Horseshoe Southern Indiana. I went to the Total Rewards desk where I was directed to swipe my card at a kiosk in the hallway right before the boat entrance. No ID, no nuttin!

A person would honestly have to know about this promo to see it on the kiosk.

I just got back from Windsor. The person at the TR booth was aware of the promo ( I brought my print out just in case). I asked many questions and she was very polite and helpful. She said you did need to swipe (enter) at each casino. I asked how could you tell ? She told me that when she swiped my card she looked back into the records and verified that I had one entry into the Race. I did need to show I.D.

We had a good laugh when I said I was trying for the 15 thousand dollars and she said I think you mean Reward credits. OOPS
Great Race opt in website is down temporarily.....wondering if maybe they are make some changes to make it a little clearer if you are opting into the destination portion or not. I've already seen three response letters from Johnny Hernandez on this board alone so I'm sure they had many more from around the country.
It will be interesting to see what changes. I got a response on Facebook from one of the locations saying it was up and running, but not alot of details.

Does not sound like they thought this promotion through enough.

Hope they clarify before my trip in early August.
