Anyone stay at The Quad?

Has anyone stayed at The Quad lately. I am receiving offer after offer, but I never stayed there when it was the IP, because frankly it was dirty and actually smelled. Has anything been done to update it since the name change?

I know people complain but I stayed in May . I just took the room for the free play and we stayed next door at Harrahs. The room was actually nicer than Harrahs that my friend had an upgraded room thru a host . I am a platinum and because of that the Quad gave me a special room. Wow , robes, slippers, coffee pot, solid surface counter tops. They were still remodeling the casino but it was shaping up. The elevators were quicker but but ugly with scars, the halls were clean. The staff was friendly and getting a drink quick.

I actually liked the room so much I booked again in Sept. We shall see if it's the same experience I sure hope so.

Oh and the "resort fee" is "only" 10 and includes wi fi (or so they tell me) Harrahs was only hard wire.

In June my room on the top floor was pretty bad. Stained carpets, bad furniture, kinda of dumpy but free or damm close I do not remember.

The $ is going into the casino not the rooms yet I think.

Sounds like it really hasn't changed since it's IP days.

I got a room in May that was fine. Clean, quiet, no problems. Are people aware that if they dont like their room, they can POLITELY ask for another one. I think the key word in this sentence is the issue for many people.

"One" should not have to ask for another room - if the room is not fit to be used it should not be given to a guest.
