Anyone stayed at The Cromwell?

I heard that after opening, the Cromwell had noise problems from both street noise on the lower floors and the nightclub on the upper floors. Is this still a problem? I have stayed at numerous Caesars/Harrahs properties and was thinking about a change of pace. Any comments, reviews would be appreciated.
I haven't stayed at the Cromwell for over a year. When I did stay there, I enjoyed the hotel and casino very
much. I did not enjoy the noise from the Drai nightclub which is open Thurs through Sunday 10PM-5AM , in
fact I had a 5 day reservation for Sunday through Thursday and transferred to another hotel for Thursday
after my experience on Sunday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were fine.

I notice on their current website that there is a beach party on Tuesday nights from 10PM - 4AM so my guess
is that will be noisy also.

In regard to the "noise" it wasn't actually noise, more the room reverberating from I assume the music and
that was loud. I personally found it impossible to sleep.
Thanks, maybe rethink this.
I stayed there last fall. Didn't hear anything from Drai's but if you're on the Flamingo Road side you'll hear street traffic (just like when it was Bill's and the Barbary Coast).

Here are some pictures from the room we had:

We stayed four nights at Cromwell and really enjoyed it. Great location and nice rooms. As a small hotel check in is a breeze and you can get your car from valet in 5 minutes or less. It doesn't have a Diamond Lounge however you can get high end wines, cocktails, and beer from the bar. They have Chimay on draft. The concierge was one of the nicest and most helpful I've encountered. I wish I had written her name down. Noise is definitely a problem. I had to use earplugs to sleep. There was an idiot on the bridge between Cromwell and Bally's who played drums every night until 2 or 3 AM.
Hey Gang, I've got Cromwell rezzies this coming Sunday (Christmas, 12/25) with check-out on Thursday (12/29).

I would appreciate any feedback folks might have to these observations:

1.) Because it's Sun-Weds night stays, ask for higher floor because Drai's will be closed, ergo: No thumping music until 5 am.
2.) Ask for a room on the North side of the hotel, ergo: No Flamingo Rd. noise.
3.) Check-in at the Diamond check-in lounge if you're Platinum or Diamond.

I welcome any additional thoughts/observations!
