Anything like "RACE FOR REWARDS" THIS SUMMER?

Anyone heard anything about something similar to Race for Rewards like last summer?

Not me but I was wondering the same the other day. We are still spending ours from last year!!

I was also just researching and nothing. I think the details didn't come out til June. I sure hope it happens again a great promo for me.

I also hope that they have it again. I am mapping out where I will go if they have it.

Hoping for it again also. Although hope we don't get in the middle of a hurrican evacuation like last year. At least that was a new experience.

I would hope so, I love having an excuse for extended road trips, plus the credits. But my personal guess is it won't happen, due to CET's financial issues. Adding resort fees, dumping Bank of America for a less well known and (I'm guessing) cheaper bank to run their Visa card, early check in fees, buffet price increases, all stage pass cut backs...all signs of a company trying to get the most out of every penny.

Nothing but circumstantial evidence, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Here's to being pleasantly surprised if they do offer it again!

We sure had fun last year on our roadtrip and are hoping for another this year. It did get me to other Harrahs casinos one which I have visited several times since. So, Harrahs and I have both benefited.

I hope they do it also as DarrenInGreenwood said this is a good excuse to travel around to various casinos and my wife likes the credit aspect. She still has 35060 left from last year. I am not sure CET's financial issues would preclude another race as I would assume that the Suits think this type of promotion would make a profit overall in regard to money spent on lodging, food, and above all gambling overcoming the amount of reward credits redeemed. I certainly would not make a special trip from Indy to St. Louis (not in the picture now), Metropolis, Tunica, New Orleans, Biloxi, Horseshoe SI, and back to Indy or my drive to Hammond just for points (never again) or our swing from Mountaineer to Cleveland on our way home from visiting our son in D.C. Obviously if the promotion was deemed a loser it will not be repeated.

I don't think that many people are aware of the promotion, or they don't understand it well enough to take advantage of it. Lucky that we LVAers are able to network.

The Race was mentioned in CZR's announcement of their 3rd quarter earnings results, so I think there's a decent chance that they will repeat this promotion.

I, however, am less enthusiastic about it than I was. I find I'm using points slower than I expected, and I'm not amused by their buffet price increases and the introduction of the Linq Tax.
