april stay at paris

We always stay at Paris. Good location, easy to navigate, good restaurants, separate diamond and up check in. If we don't have a comped suite, we ask for "P" room which is a mini suite at the end of the hall. Mon Ami Gabi is our place for lunch at least once every trip. Get the onion soup and a glass of Cote du Rhone. Yummm!

I would recommend getting tickets to Penn and Teller. They are at the Rio and it is a good show. I've seen them twice.

You may want to check the reviews for P&T as people either love it or hate it.  I saw it years ago at Ballys & they were great.  We saw it 3 years ago and it was a snooze.  Starts with Penn playing the cello & goes downhill from there.

About 10 card tricks and Penn talking about himself.  Could hear people snoring.

We did find Paris to be a very nice hotel; we do prefer smaller places now.

I saw them in 2024. Penn played Cello but not during the show. It was before the show started.

I also saw them in 2003ish.

I preferred the first show but still quite enjoyed the recent one too.

They did a bit called Entropy. It was a bit of a slow burn but it worked in the end.

They do change things up every couple years so they might be doing different stuff now.

Last year was their 50th anniversary anniversary.

Every review I've read in the last couple of years has said that there's an awful lot of talking and a dearth of magic. I wouldn't want to pay for the former, mildly entertaining as it might be.

All the dialogue (and apparently, Teller is no longer completely silent) makes it seem like they're just mailing it in. Not that that's unusual for Vegas performers who are twenty years past their sell-by date.
