BALLY'S??

Bally's was the first place we stayed on our first trip to Las vegas. We were there the summer prior to the fire. I think 1980 or close. We booked the last two nights of our stay this trip at Bally's and wondered has anyone stayed there recently and can give some advice.
I had a basic north tower room on November. We've been staying more @ Paris for years, but a solo last minute trip in could only find a weekend comp @ Ballys. The room I had faced Bills Gambling Hall and was on the 7 th floor. It was quite large and had a nice bathroom. The beds had the look of an upgraded room but were a bit firm. The safe in the closet was seriously old school and said there was a small charge t use it if you weren't diamond or higher, but I wasn't charged. I had no complaints at all about the room, even slept well in the firmer bed. I would definitely stay again.
TECramer--Thanks for the reply. It really does not sound that bad. Like I mentioned we stayed at Bally's the very first trip to Las Vegas and really have not been there other than seeing a Jubilee a few times.
Are you Diamond? If so, check in at Diam. check in & request (insist) on North tower room.
Thats the only tower I ever take.

Will be there Sat. Enjoy gambling there, and had some luck.
Indigo lounge can get really LOUD, especially if you are playing nearby.........but, its nice being
able to easily walk to Paris inside, and Burger Brasserie or Paris buffet down the hall.
Usually park at Self-parking, inbetween the two hotels.

I feel at home at Ballys. No qualms. Hope you Enjoy your stay.

We are not Diamond. We spend most of our time downtown at GN and since M opened we go there quite a bit and really like it. Thanks for the heads up and like you said the walk to Paris no problem ---Harrahs--or PH. Thanks.
I have stayed at bally's several times over the past three years. Me and the wife usually bonce back and forth between there and the Paris. The North tower rooms are a little more modern then the South tower rooms. Both are larger than standard rooms at other newer hotels. I like the north tower better, but I am okay with the South tower as they usually have a better view. The monorail makes a stop at Bally's but its located at the back of the hotel, a little bit of a walk but not to bad. Nosh the deli is located by the south tower elevators and is pretty good for a quick snack.
Thanks to all for the replies. We are headed out 1/22/13 for 5 nights Golden Nugget and 2 nights Bally's.
