Ballys, Flamingo or Luxor? Any thoughts?!

Azrobert...Thanks for the additional feed back in re: to Rio and GC/Orleans. I actually have a 2 night offer from GC/Orleans. I took the 2 nighter at Orleans (for my last 2 nights) plus it came with $50.00 in food. I have never seen their rooms but I gave the Orleans a good amount of play (paiGow) last year so if nothing else I'll eat for free on 2 days.
However "strip" is strip .

I'll say Flamingo because it has a great pool complex. That's the reason we're staying there this summer rather than Bally's or Harrah's, where the pools are essentially non-existent.

But again, that's based on our opinion only.

We like to stay in the Flamingo GO rooms facing the strip. Great hotel location and I enjoy playing the friendly craps tables.
Although, I'll have to admit that the Flamingo is a little worn around the edges.

If you saw George Clooney's latest movie (where he travels around the US as a consultant), the Luxor is mentioned and his character says, no one stays in that shithole. I'm not sure what the Luxor did to the writer/director of the film but, they couldn't have been too happy about that.

At the Orleans, try the Mexican restaurant from 4-6. They have cheap marquaritas and food specials. Two people can eat the carnitas which are very good. They will also give you some coupons at check in for just about every food outlet including TGIF and Fuddruckers.

As for an upgraded room at Orleans (no cost if available) but, it is much nicer decor including a flat screen TV. You might also ask for a view of the pool which can serve as your daytime entertainment in the summer.

because I haven't stayed there before. ever.
I like Bally's/Paris but I want to know what I'm talking about so Flamingo for the experience.. besides, i'm Diamond- maybe i'll get something swanky

Flamingo Go Room, but since your girlfriend sounds like a whiney brat if she doesn't stay on the strip.....book a room at the Wild Wild West or Palace Station.

We've stayed in rooms at all three places.

The room at Bally's was the largest

The Go room at Flamingo was very pink, plastic, and had glass walls between the bath and the bedroom which we did not like but the grounds and the pool area were amoung the best in Vegas, lots of greenery which help offset the heat.

The room in the tower at Luxor was the best room of the three and I would easily stay in it again for the room but I did not like the casino at all. The room was modern and had a separate shower and tub. The tower rooms were not conveniently located. Way in the back of the casino. The casino lacked variety and I lost on everything I tried. That left a bad impression on my psyche

So pick what has the most value for your girl.
