Ballys, Flamingo or Luxor? Any thoughts?!

Just got back from Bally's - North Tower, strip view room and I recommend Bally's because of the great location, location, location! Walk through Paris and you're on the Strip right accross from Bellagio and in the center of the Strip Action. I don't have a car, and could walk practically everywhere I wanted to go along the Strip (when it gets oven roasty outside that may change the walking bliss).

Wherever you decide to land, enjoy!

Ballys would have been my choice also because of the location and the fact that your next door to Paris my favorite place to stay.

Ballys is where we have stayed more than any others--great location, huge rooms, comped. We did GO room at Flamingo once--rooms is kinda mod cool, but hallways had cleanliness issues (for DAYS...and I have heard this over & over for years from many reviewers). Pool area is nice but Flamingo area smelly strongly of fish. Not a fan.
Luxor--meh.

We just returned from our latest trip. We stayed two of the nights in a Go room and it was pretty good.

But you are correct. The hallways were filthy, with the same mess on the carpet all three days. I did not hear

or see anyone vacuuming the whole time we were there.

Wow. Thats sort of discouraging (and disgusting too!).

Yeah, I so don't get the Flamingo hallway thing (again...I hear this OVER & OVER)--every other CET property has always been clean & well-maintained (maybe dated, maybe nothing more than functional). (have not done Rio; by Oct. will have stayed at every CET strip property; well, except Bills, but that is an odd one...) Must be a "site-based mangement" issue--but, really, for years??!!
We stayed 2 years ago. The hall by our room it looked as tho someone had taken a bag of crackers, crunched them up, then threw them all over the floor. Was like that for several days. And the elevator button cover had something very icky smeared on it ( "Something About Mary" always came to mind when I saw it....) It was NEVER cleaned off; and I have also heard comment about the gross elevator buttons. Bizarre.

I agree with Carol. The Tower at Luxor offered the best room.

2nd choice would be Flamingo but only if you get a Go room, otherwise No.

I know Bally's is popular, but I didn't like it. (I admit it, I am spoiled)

Prof--you are entitled to your opinion, but I wouldn't call putting Luxor & Flamingo over Ballys spoiled...
