Bellagio Rooms

My take it that it doesn't have to do with less housekeeping nor saving on water (although those might be the result of these changes).  Walk in showers are more modern looking and trending.  AND for those that are a bit mobility challenged (can't get leg over side of tub) easier to use.

Thanks, I agree.  Actually, I am in that group for which getting out of a bathtub (other than mine at home, for whatever reason) is becoming challenging.  Thus, though I'll miss my soaks, I should not complain.

A shower in a tub is the worst of both worlds--it's probably the single easiest setup for you to fall on your ass. Still, it does offer both options. I think they ought to give people soap and a long-handled scrub brush, and access to the Bellagio fountains. Turn 'em on while people are bathing. Like the world's most violent Jacuzzi.

Back to Roman times.  Public bathhouses.

I disagree again with your take.  I've NEVER come close to slipping in a stand up shower, but many times a foot has slipped a bit in a tub.  I would wager heavily that I am not alone with those observations.  The bases of walk-in showers are almost always tiled with small grouted tiles, giving a natural slight textured grip underfoot.  As compared with a typical heavily banked slippery tub which sometimes has a optional mat in attempt to offset the slipperiness.    I had a family member break her leg getting into a tub that even had grip bars in the wall.

Uhhhh...read what I actually siad...I AGREE with you!

I love big walk in showers. Not so much climb in bathtub shower.

I rather soak at the spa. Two years ago in Memphis slipped and fell.

Not great for vacation. I request daily housekeeping. I like returning

to a tidy room That's me. I tip
