Best floor for viewing fountains?

We will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary this December and have decided to splurge on a Bellagio stay. I know I want to stay lakeside, but what floor level is the best to request? I would think being too high would lose some of the beauty of the fountain show. We stay up past the time of the shows, so the noise would be no problem. Being early December, the low temperature at night will make me glad to stay indoors to watch the show.
I've stayed on 15 twice, and the view is awesome.
We've stayed on numerous floors fountain side, in numerous locations on those floors, high and low, mid and corners. I never was disappointed in the view, it looked the same no matter where our room was located.

I just wish they designed the rooms where one could view the shows lying in bed. But alas, no, at least not the many we have stayed in. Perhaps some of the suites have it that way. But we've had suites a few times (and different locations) and still had to get up and go to the window when the 'shows' started.

But, it is still lovely no matter from where you are seeing the fountains. Good thing to do at least one time.
Thanks, that helps!

Prefer the mid-range view floors. Had one on lower floor (maybe 10th - don't remember for sure) one time - too much blockage from trees and foliage, although friends who were there for the first time in room beside us thought it was great. Just had nothing to compare.

So my next question is since I've booked a "Tower Fountain Room King", is that the right room? And should I try for a room upgrade at checkin?
Upgrade in what way? What are you looking for?

Tower Fountain Room King...I think that is what I call a "corner room." I like them. Three windows, Strip/fountain, side, and one by the bathtub), larger bathroom with two sinks and private potty closet. If at corner of the North wing, you'll see Caesars etc.out the side windows. Corner of South wing, you'll see Aria, Jockey Club, Cosmo, etc. out the side windows. They are an "upgrade" in themselves, and there is a limited number of them.

But be advised, they are a long walk from the elevators if walking is an issue.

Salon Suites are a bigger room (technically not a suite, but they call it that), long sofa that somebody could sleep on if necessary, bigger credenza with lots of drawers, again a bigger bathroom with vanity desk/mirror, potty closet. TV in the bathroom mirror (they aren't in sync with the bedroom TV, so like an echo, one about half a sentence delay from the other--grrr). The Salons we've had...1950's style décor which didn't rock my world, but a nice room, very comfy bed. And on the corner, I think, maybe three windows? Can't remember.

Once our Host treated us to one of the 001 suites, the "suites" in the middle of the halls. Had always wondered about them, who gets them, etc.? HATED it (didn't tell Host we hated it). The bed faced the fountains like I would have loved, except that the window was blocked by the stupid big TV console in which the TV comes up and down as you work the remote (but the console stays put). Totally blocked the view unless you walked around the thing. And with suites comes a table of smelly cheeses, huge bowl of fruit we didn't eat much of, cookies and crackers, choc. covered strawberries, plates, linens, etc., none of which we really cared for except for the big bottles of Fuji water. It had two bathrooms, one on either side of the bed. And a 'living room' divided from the bedroom, again, not a real suite, but big...too big. We were constantly having to yell to converse with each other, not convenient for the way we "do" hotel stays. Oh, one of the bathrooms had a bathtub, the other had a shower. I thanked Host profusely because he thought he did a special thing for us since I'm sure we didn't really rate that one comped, but told him we really didn't need that much space ever again, thanks anyway (had NOT asked for it, BTW, must have been a slow week). Truly a waste for the two of us.

Now, they do have some real suites in the highest floors, etc. Never stayed in one.

I recommend the one you booked.

As for trees and foliage blocking your view, we had 11th floor once, no problem. It may be if the room backed up to the "Villas" or whatever they call them, which do have some of that tree stuff. That wouldn't be a problem with a corner fountain view room.
The wife likes to watch the Bellagio fountains from Mon Ami Gabi while enjoying a meal and an adult beverage.
That's on my list of possibilities. Thanks!
Thanks, I had wondered about the Salone suite. I'll just stick with with what I have. As for the upgrade, I'm not sure what I was looking for. After reading Jean Scott's and the LVA's advice for almost 20 years, I automatically look for some way to improve my EV.
