Better Spa/Fitness Center..Rio or Bally's??

I have 5 days booked at Rio from the 24th-29th. Today 3 days comped at Ballys popped up in my TR (although its the South tower instead of the North ). I learned from Lisa that the Spa/Fitness at Rio is half price for platinum members. . If thats the same case with Ballys and another night opens up then there may be a last min switch.

I've been to the fitness center at Ballys and it's nothing to shout about. However if there is no difference between the spa/fitness center at Rio as opposed to one at Ballys then the wait is on for a slightly better Ballys offer (and maybe Lil Sis can get me in the North Tower).

I've never stayed at the Rio (although Lisa gives it good marks ) so I have no idea what the rooms/Spa/ Fitness center look like. Im hoping some LVA'er has spent time at both fitness centers and spa's and can share their insight!!

Well, Champster, I'm sorry that I can't speak to the Rio/Bally's spa portion, but I can talk about the South/North tower. FWIW, I have had a S. Tower reservation once or twice and each time I was able to get upgraded to the North Tower w/o even asking. If you do end up reserving the S. Tower, when the front desk person says, "And I see you'll be staying with us for 4 nights in our South Tower King room..." simply chime in with, "Any chance you might have a North Tower King available for me?" and if she says know, do the $20 trick and ask for a possible upgrade is available in general.
