Caesars Comps-Bumped

Comped 4 nights at Caesars 4/24-4/28 in Delux Forum rooms. Not arriving till about 830 PM. Have not stayed at Caesars for about 2 years. Only stay at Harrahs property since all the added fees at all the MGM properties. Never had any issues at RIO, Harrahs, or Paris. Do I need to worry about no room? Calling a day or two ahead help?
i do ten or fifteen HET stays yearly, mostly comped, and never have a reservation problem (until feb 2011 when reserved for 2 and showed up solo, so that's on me). calling ahead shouldnt hurt you, but if i worry about a room type, etc, I usually call the day of arrival- that's the best day to have a room assigned. m.
Have been staying in comped rooms at Harrahs properties in Vegas for 15 years and never have had a reservation problem.
I always call to confirm my reservation and let them know if I plan to arrive at a later time.

I like to get a confirmation number. I then log on to the rewards website and see if I can get that confirmation verified when I look it up. I also print it out.
The only reservation problems I have ever had with Harrah's (all hotels in Vegas), is that they never seem to have a King non smoking. I insist on having a non smoking, which sometimes gets us an upgrade, but the King is not always available.
I never have had a problem with Harrahs. I checked in last Sunday at Caesars and got upgraded to an Augustus room on 42nd floor with perfect fountain view. Just asked the lady, it was in Diamond checkin.

We were "walked" from Caesars when we booked, well in advance, a comped Palace Tower Premier room on a VERY busy weekend. They called the day before we flew to Las Vegas to tell us they were overbooked. Rather than accept any offer, I said no, cancel the reservation. They kept pushing the offer up. I reluctantly agreed.

They gave us a GO room at the Flamingo and $100 in food, which we used for the Buffet of Buffets.

Then, on our next stay we were given a 2-bedroom suite at Harrah's. On a subsequent stay we were each given top of the line executive suites, the kind with somebody's name on the double doors. My suite had 3 bathrooms, plus a sauna.

The GO room was really nothing special. The Buffet of Buffets was a great experience, which we normally would not have done. I wish they'd include that as part of their regular offers.

Still not real happy with Caesars, though. I say confirm your reservation in every way you can, and don't settle for less if you have a good backup offer at another hotel.
