Caesars Palace -- What are your favorite experiences there?

We usually don't spend a lot of time at Caesars. Just too big and I don't think I've ever won there! Anyway, we decided to see if we could get last minute tickets to Rod Stewart. We got the $49 cheap seats (3rd row from the back) and paid with our points. I was mighty impressed with how good the cheap seats were. I would gladly sit there again. Now I'll have to reconsider going to other shows there - Elton John is on my radar now.

FYI - they can't directly use your points at the box office, but the Total Rewards desk is just across the room. Find out the price of the ticket and just go across to the TR desk and get a voucher for the exact amount. No fees to pay either.

We liked the Palace Tower Premium room, which has the two bathrooms. But we rarely get that room comped any more. If we did, we would spend more time at Caesars.

We don't love the video poker.

We enjoyed the walk through the Forum shops, except that area where they detour you around so that you have to walk past all of the newer shops. How stupid.

We ate the Bacchannal Buffet last week (on a comp from a Harrah's offer), and there were so many people taking pictures, it was hard to get to the food. The rare roast beef was excellent. Otherwise it was just OK. Would not go again.

Payard is wonderful for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If at dinner, ask for russ. He is server we are always happy to sit in his section. He is from Cleveland.
We are staying at CP on our next trip (Dec 7-10!) and the number one thing I am looking forward to is the "First Time Bagel" at Max Brenner's.

From the site

"filled & pressed with a melted chocolate bar &
your choice of: peanut butter or hazelnut cream"

I think I'm gonna try one of each!
