Caesars Passport Travel--questions??

Has anyone here ever used Caesars Passport Travel?
If you have--do you know:
--Can you use your TR credits to "pay"?
--Can you book air travel to and from anywhere? (0r
does it have to be a HET property destination/city?)

Thanks--I was trying to use the LVA search tool
but I kept getting the dreaded 109 error code. . . . .
and I'd prefer the most up-to-date info anyway. . .

I did find their phone number on their web site:
1-800-661-9146
Jean,
yes you can use your Total Reward credit for air travel (only to harrah's city). But you do have to book through CET's Passport Travel. The catch for me, since i live 5 hrs one way to a Harrahs casino, is that you have to request the TRC from Total Rewards in a casino. Once they transfer your credits, you can then call Passport Travel and they will book your trip (on whatever airlines you prefer) and you can pay any overage on the air fare with a credit card.

If anyone has found a way around having to actually go to a CET casino Total Rewards desk for the point transfer, please post how I can do this.
I tried everything to get around having to go to a CET's casino to trade my TR credits for air travel. I don't have a host, but I tried contacting everyone I could through phone & email. No luck.

If the Total Reward staff at Cherokee were trained, i could have made the transition on my last visit at the end of October. but no one knew how to do it, not even the host the called. I left with a promise from a host they would find out and contact me. which they did...but the informaton was you had to be onsite to make the trade from otal reward credits to the Passport Travel company. Makes no sense to me because the travel company is affiliated with CET...and all of my information is on the CET computers. Once again lack of training at a Harrah's property has caused me issues.

But good news afterall...i researched the internet and found airfare from Charlotte to Vegas on Delta through Salt Lake City for $241 a ticket! So we're headed to Vegas for the Gift Wrap Up afterall. Can't wait! Nov. 29 to Dec. 4th
Yes--that "little" item of having to go to a TR
Desk and "transfer" the credits is a bummer
because the closest HET property is about 2 1/2
hours away from me. The drive is "do-able" and I do
understand that they would have to see some
type of ID to do this --so hence the in-person
visit. However--the 20,000 TR credits for 100.00
in travel credits seems very over-priced to me!

After considering all the possibilities. . . I
also found a lower fare and bought the tix.

Jean
the conversion rate they use for airline tickets it is very overpriced. Until they revamped their reward program, it took only 30,000 points to fly coach to any of their casinos. and I just had to call the Passport Travel folks (who were then located in Tunica, MS and now in Las Vegas) to make the arrangements.

I gave up too and found good airfare nad just brought our tickets on Delta to Vegas...leaving next Thurs. cannot wait
