Can you still walk from Harrah's to Planet Hollywood?

At the corner where Osheas was they had a construction person helping with traffic flow and even though we had to stop when a construction truck needed to enter, it didn't really tie up the pedestrian traffic much. I liked the covered walkway...was shaded when I went.

Another thing you could do is buy a monorail ticket and take the monorail to Bally's and go thru Bally's & Paris tunnel and cross over to PH. I love the monorail and always use it when staying on that side of the strip. I took it from Flamingo to get to PH for breakfast one day. I don't mind the walk to where the monorail is at the different casinos cuz to me you do more walking if you don't use it, depending on how far you are going.

I would think that taking the monorail to PH from Flamingo is a longer walk via the monorail then just walking it. Its a long walk from the Ballys monorail station to the Strip. Am I missing something?

That was the first time I had gotten off the monorail at the Bally's station so I didn't know exactly how far of a walk into the main area it would be and it could be a shorter walk outside on LVBlvd from the Flamingo. But I was suggesting the monorail for the OP since they were starting from Harrahs.

Also, even if it is a bit more of a walk, if you are visiting in the heat of summer like I was, it is nice to be able to do most of the walking indoors and without all the street lights and traffic. I also liked the fact that Bally's had the inside walkway to Paris. I had already bought and "started the clock" on a 24 hr. pass for the monorail so I thought I'd use it to go to PH and check out that route from Ballys.

Also, even though at the monorail stations you have to go up and down stairs or escalators the escalators were always working unlike most of the pedestrian bridges I came to where at least half of the escalators weren't working and you had to climb the steps or wait for on elevator, if it was working which a couple were not.

This is exactly why the monorail is a miserable failure!

I just returned from LV yesterday and made the walk from the Flamingo to Harrahs several times, no problem at all (and once was at 10pm Saturday night). Yea, the construction makes it more crowded but it was already crowded during peak times.

I actually didn't mind it at all as the road beside Margaritaville is no longer a thru road for traffic, so it's alot easier to cross walking up the strip.

And Yes, Carnival Court was in fine form!
