Any honest views on this hotel, I know it is not a resort but I don`t need all the bells and whistles just somewhere to have a good sleep, shower and with a coffee maker, I know a lot of people have given it a bad rap

I haven't stayed there, but according to a friend who has, it's "adequate." He mentioned that it was somewhat noisy due to its proximity to the Strip, but he liked that same proximity when he wanted to go to the Bellagio Venetian etc.
I've never had any urge to patronize the Strip, but definitely, if that's what you want, the Casino Royale's great location and relatively low price is an excellent choice. And if the room ain't big or fancy, well, what's a Vegas room but a crash pad anyway?
I've stayed at Casino Royale 30 times, although I have not stayed there since they removed all table games. Last stay was about 4 years ago. Little to zero problem with noise, rooms are average in size and have always been well maintained. Nothing fancy buy far from stark. You can walk to the VenetianFROM YOUR ROOM in 5 minutes and Harrah's in 2 minutes.
Great location.
