Casino Royale coupon sheet "downgrade"

The May coupon sheet took a dramatic turn for the worst (at least for VP players) in that the 4OAK's and table matchplays were replaced largely by .01 slot play enticements. I spoke with several employees, and they all said that they had been getting many complaints and threats of not returning to the CR if this continues. Unfortunately, those complaints are of little value unless they make it to the powers-that-be who made the decision in the first place. Each employee stated that it was important for disgruntled guests to fill out a guest comment sheet (available at the front desk) indicating one's displeasure with the change. (One employee indicated that the change was clearly intended to draw customers to the new section in the back in order to have that area show greater volume of play to justify the expansion.) Some employees even seemed concerned that their overall business would be eventually hurt quite dramatically, given the strong adverse reaction, as players learned of the change in the structure of the monthly coupon sheet. On the plus side, the monthly $20 gaming credit is still provided, regardless of whether it's used for slots or VP.
Boy, that sucks ....

My buddy and I had planned a 2 night stay there during our May 31-June 4 trip but, now, I think we'll just cancel that and stay downtown for all 4 nights.

Might go there to use the $20 free play but no sense sending 2 days there .... and, while we are there, we will fill out a guest comment sheet to let them know why we aren't staying there this trip.

I think that depends on the player's account. On our last trip there, I got a different sheet with different coupons than my friend. I didn't have freeplay -- he did.

I always got the VP coupons, though. Too bad to hear that they're gone, as that was pretty much the only reason to visit that place for me.

Did you actually already make reservations for there? If so, then when you call them to cancel, maybe you should right then and there tell them that you are cancelling your stay there specifically because they made the coupon changes.

RecVPPlayer

The June coupon sheet was still full of penny slot promotions. Let's hope that by July they return to the "original" coupon sheets that were actually worth something.
Has anyone used the July coupon sheet as of yet, and if so, has it reverted to the quarter video poker play vs. the current (May & June) penny slot coupons?
Wish I had something useful to contribute... I'm just bumping this to see if anyone has seen the July coupons. I'm not holding my breath that the VP coupons have returned.... Can anyone verify?

Thx!
I can now answer my own inquiry: the July coupons are still, IMO, worthless. The desk people just shake their heads apologetically and say "Fill out a customer comment card." I now give them about 1/10 the play I used to, so maybe I'll get bumped off their mailing list. Unless the coupon sheets return to their previous format, it would be no big loss.
That's crummy news, but thanks for the update. We'll check it out ourselves next month and I will fill out a comment card if they're still bad. The coupon sheet was the only thing that would bring us in the door of CR.
Now that we're a few days into August, I have to ask if anyone has used the current coupon sheet and, if so, whether or not it has returned to the same format as a few months ago.
