Ceasars Platinum update again

I sent them an e-mail and got no response so I called them again re Platinum and what is gets in 2016. I once again explained my displeasure with them marketing Platinum with their credit card by spending 5 K on it and diluting Platinum benefits after people achieved it with the card like I did along with some others.

So the bottom line is this: Some properties in LV have eliminated the Platinum check-in and dining entrances etc.

Some properties still have them. She said it was up to the individual property. This makes no sense to me, but the reason I am sharing this is that if a property does not offer the check in or dining lines for Platinum, people may want to go to TR and mention it.

I am going next week and will look at which property has done what and mention it to TR if there is nothing giving Platinum a little something.

The good news is I got them to admit they are getting several complaints about Comenity Bank and the inability to pay the credit card balance automatically each month.

Having been Platinum for many years, i was upset with the lack of perks, too. My home casino, Hammond Horseshoe has zero benefits. At least in Vegas it was nice to have some priority seating and a separate check in line.

Luckily, I made Diamond last year, so no worries until January 2017. We;ll see how it goes thisyear regrding renewing Diamond status.

We were at the Rio at Christmas. They still have Platinum marked at the VIP check in area. However at the Buffet, they had removed the listing for Platinum at the marker at the entrance of the line, however it still listed Platinum above the actual entrance doorway. So we went ahead and used that line with no problem. My guess is by our next trip in April, that maybe changed.

Disappointing for sure.
Harrahs and Ballys still have dedicated Platinum lines for check in and cashier. The previous time at Harrahs, they did not but you could use the Diamond check in, this time I did so and was told they now have a Platinum line. I apologized. Harrahs buffet also has a separate line.

I am happy I got the Visa czard last year as I was so sick in Vegas last week I didn't gamble and stayed in the room almost the entire time. I am sure that will kill my offers, sigh. I am actually having more fun and getting more play at off strip locations. I did however want to do a special something for my Sept 0 birthday looks like not going to happen.

I was just at the LINQ and there wasn't a designated Platinum line. The person at check in told me I could have checked in at the Diamond/7 Stars area. There wasn't a line at check in so it really didn't matter but I'm glad she gave me the info.
Orchid,

I've been catching up on the CET thread here in the LVA member's section and it seems like a (fairly) well-kept secret that us Platinum folk can use Diamond/7* so I appreciate you sharing this information. I for sure did NOT know that Platinum can apparently use that check-in area!
Flamingo had a Plat check in last month. It was a good thing the line wrapped around the lobby and looked like a two hour check in...I am not going to do the 5 K on the card next year, I just do not see the benefits but that is just me.
