We stayed at Caesars in May. At check-out they said we had a "room service-mini bar" charge. I disputed this because we didn't do it, and the lady nicely removed it from our room charges, no problem. She said "that happens all the time." I used Reward Credits to cover the other room charges.
Today got my e-statement. In the "Other" line under EARNED Reward Credits is 2,703. Hmm.
Scrolling down to REDEEMED Reward Credits, there is -2703 for "room service-mini bar." So the "Other" line under EARNED shows this amount of RCs deducted from the RCs I earned (given back to CET), since they (correctly) removed the charge at check out.
Problem is, it looks like the 2,703 RCs were still deducted from my RC balance. It didn't occur to me to get this cleared up at a Total Rewards Center before leaving, thinking that all was well since it was removed from the room charges.
Next time there is an erroneous charge at check-out at a CET, I will also hike over to a TR center and make sure they credit me back if I used RCs. I don't have what it will take to try to get this rectified by phone, from home, 4 weeks after the trip.
