chet resort fees still waived for diamonds?

Who knew that gambling for almost a half century makes a person suspicious and cynical? So, here's the question. In 2013, if I had a LV stay at a caesars joint, comped or not, the reservation page indicated resort fee waived, or words like dat. Not so, for my feb 2014 stay. Any news about this changing? I noticed the same thing. I am Platinum and staying at the Rio Jan 18-25. I too am cynical and suspicious so I emailed CET and printed the reply I received which stated Platinum and above never pay the resort fee unless they chose to do so (funny). The reply also contained an apology for the confusion but I was not confused about what jmradford mentioned - the last reservation containing the statement that the resort fee was waived and the current reservation not containing the waiver and stating in the remarks that a resort fee would be due at check-out.

I went through the website. They have a contact us complaint/comment set-up with answers to FAQ. They are pretty prompt about answering questions and they sometimes are answered by someone at the actual property involved in the inquiry. If I get a favorable answer I always print the reply and take it with me to the property.
