Construction on IP

Does anyone know anything about the construction starting on the IP.
What part of IP hotel it will involve and when it will start? We are planning on coming to Vegas in Sept and my hubby will not stay at IP while alot of construction is going on. He is on a vacation and doesn't want to hear alot of noise
Thanks
Caesars magazine says completed in 2013? wow they have not started how are they going to get this done? so construction would have to start by then.
Was there last week. Lot of demolition already started between Carnival Court and IP. Some roads closed behind IP. Word is that O Sheas will disappear during the summer. Imperial Palace will be renamed as the lease on the name expires this year. Supposedly there is or will be a website that will have further info as things go along.
The stores by IP/Harrahs are pretty much gone. The capri tower at IP is gone. I understand that the major renovations are going to start soon and that was just the beginning. From the pictures, the drive off the entry drive off the strip for IP will be gone and you will enter off the back. Right now, the whole back is closed off and the strip is the only way to travel. Some of the staff said it will be utter chaos for the next several months with the construction.

I'm pretty sure we will be avoiding the whole block for at least the next year although it should be great when the Linq is finally complete.
I will actually be staying at the IP for two nights in March... I had other choices for comps, but chose the IP as I have never stayed there and just wanted to say that I did...

Reviews are really mixed. It seems that people either love it or hate it... I'll be in a Deluxe Luv Tub room for a Saturday and Sunday night. Hopefully all goes well for those, before I move to Caesars for two nights and then PH for another two...
