Cosmo is our favorite!

Yep, I've hit it basically every time I've gone for it except for that time, so I guess I thought I'd hit it then, too. It just wasn't meant to be. Here's when I hit it Christmas day last year:

and from February 13 this year:

beautiful hits, Justmare. 'grats!
Thanks!
Damn Mare, that is a couple of great hits!

They were definitely nice! Wish I could hit that progressive again. lol

Had my first very negative experience with Cosmo. When they first opened I went in and got a card but never used it. When I went back a couple years ago I told them I had a card in the system (and was getting emails to my Yahoo account with that account #) they said they couldn't find it in the system and issued me a new card. I used a different email address for the new card and continued to get emails for both accounts. No problems until a couple weeks ago when I went to the Identity booth to get my free play loaded and they told me that card was no longer valid, they had discovered I had two accounts and they combined them using my original card (that was never, EVER played on). I knew right then that something was going to get screwed up and I was right.

I made Platinum tier June 12, 2015 and had a year to use my $250 annual resort credit (tier benefit). I have a trip booked for 2 nights tomorrow and asked my host to apply the resort credit to this reservation. I mentioned to him my anniversary date for tier benefits and that I needed to use it before it expired and asked him if there was anything else I needed to use before then. He replied back that when they combined my cards they changed my anniversary date to March 25 and my resort credit for that year rolled off. WTF?! I'm already platinum again, so he applied the new one to this reservation and said he would comp me $250 on an upcoming trip to make up for it. I've never been denied discretionary comps because I normally play enough to get everything covered, but I would want the BENEFIT $250 resort credit for when I knew I might have a short play trip, so I'm not happy.

Where do they get off cutting my YEAR of earned tier status down by 2-1/2 months?! Not happy at all. I'm going to speak with Identity about it tomorrow and if they don't fix it I will be on my way out the door. I'll have to book and use my current offer of $730 free play and $100 dining beforehand, though.
Wow, Mare, that bites.

Remind them that this mistake was of THIER doing, not yours.

We sometimes take a bus from here to Isle of Capri which is close to Tunica.

The Isle did that to one of the gals (we call us the biddy group-ha), because when we sign up for the trip our names are forwarded to the casino and they usually have cards ready when we get there. Somehow Babe's information didn't transfer over (her real name is Evelyn, and we think that probably had something to do with it), and she had a new card with a new number, her Free Play from previous visits but still goo was not good on the new card, and they wanted her to play on this new card to give credit to the bus outfit. And if I remember right, they had disabled her other card which she had played on for at least 3 years.

Now, we are talking about a very much smaller amount of play and Free Play, but still it mattered a lot to her. I think they did ultimately fix it for her, but not that day of the trip.

Hope you get it straightened out.
Thanks, Candy. I guess I'll see what their attitude is about it tomorrow. I need to try to keep my head about me and not fly off the handle if they act like they can't do anything about it. Seems the older I get, the more hot-headed I get. I don't deal well with incompetence!

Sorry that happened to your friend, Babe. Mistakes happen, but they need to realize how important it is to fix it immediately if they want to keep a good customer.

Love the "biddy group"! lol
Aria's resort fees are even higher...actually MOST of the resorts are charging fairly similar resort fees. Just figure it into the total daily cost of the room & move on...
Comped at Aria in May & Cosmo in July...could stay at CET properties comped with NO resort fees...but for $33-35/nt, I will treat myself. ;-)
(yes, they are both nicer than any CET property...but if it means paying much more than that, FREE wins, even for a slightly lesser property.)
Cosmo is my fav, too!!
Update: They put my $250 resort credit back in my account, but left my anniversary date shorted. I'm really not happy with the outcome. I may be spending more time at Red Rock and Rampart than Cosmo from now on.

Also, since there's a little bit of talk here about resort fees -- Cosmo's resort fees are not automatically removed on a comp room, but seem to be fairly easily removed with play. They are part of the benefits for Gold and Platinum tier, though, just as they are a Diamond and 7 Star tier benefit within the CET system. Not sure about MGM Resorts -- they are NOT automatically comped off for Sapphire, Pearl, or Gold.
Have returned from our 4 night 60th birthday party. Just another great stay, everything went smooth. Tried to hit the VP progressive but could not??. Had a really good gaming day on Thursday. Hit a sizzling seven jackpot for $1067. And the very next spin hit 3 red sevens for $300. Went from there to double triple 7's stars. Hit $450 on one spin and cashed out $550 ahead. Bit later won $200 on Michael Jackson and a hundred on Elvis.

Visited the Bamboo pool twice, no problems getting a seat. Since the temps were around plus 110 it felt great. Drink service was good but how many $18 cocktails can one drink???.

Tried the new "Eggslut" for breakfast, unbelievable lines. Gave up one time but the next morning made it thru. Really great sandwiches. Enjoyed burgers at Holstien's which were darn good burgers. Also used our 2 for 1 buffet we get with our identity card. It was busy, the food was okay but not outstanding.

Much more to blab about but, the above is probably enough. All charges and resort fees were taken care of by hostess??. We just have a great time here whenever we stay or visit! Look to return.

One last thought, golfing at Coyote Springs when it is 115 is damn HOT.
