CP Tier Points

Hello everyone. I am staying at CP in October and plan to get 2500 points in a day which will complete my diamond status requirements. I would be interested in your take on what you would play to achieve 2500 points in a day. I play mostly $1 VP and a few $1 slots. Your ideas are appreciated.
You probably already know that you earn points much faster on slots than on VP.
I forget the formula, but it the difference is significant.

Also, TIME PLAYING on one machine adds points faster than jumping from machine to machine.

Find a machine you like and stay on it as long as you can.
Watch the meter.
Try to play it until you have 250 or 500 or 1000 tier points before you give up on that machine.
Even the so-called penny slot machines, if you play full coin you can earn tier points faster than you think.
But watch the meter and stay on the machine if you can, up to 250, 500, 1000, etc.

BTW, it can take CET a few days to actually update your points on their web page.
So don't panic if when you first log in at home or wherever, you don't see your new tier points.
They'll catch up in a day or three.

Good luck!
It's $5 per 1 tier point on slots and $10 per point on video poker. It doesn't matter if you stay on the same machine on video poker anymore because you don't earn bonus reward credits anymore (just 1 reward credit per tier credit earned). Since I'm not a slot player I don't know if they're still awarding bonus reward credits for slot play, but if they do, what Candy said about staying on one machine racking up the points faster is true. However, you have to stay on that machine for a long time for it to matter, so unless you're really doing well you'll probably want to move.

I'm sure you already know this since you know that 2500 tier will complete your diamond status requirements, but you will receive 5000 bonus tier credits for doing 2500 tier points. Those bonus tier credits don't NORMALLY show up for a couple days, though, so you can't count on getting your diamond card as soon as you finish the 2500 points.
Thank you for your advice. I will try to stay with VP and if time presses switch to slots to accumulate the remainder of the required tier points. I only need 2500 tier points in a day since I currently have 8000.

My advice would be to go to PH and play the triple play $1 9/5 JOB.
Low(ish) volatility and at $15 per it adds up the tier credits FAST!

Good luck!
I bet I earn tier credits 2xs faster on video poker than slots, it is a much faster pace, in other words I play at least 4 times faster. Slots I just lose lose lose lose lose, and hardly earn any tier points!
What am I missing? Doesn't Diamond require 15,000 points now?

Mare is the best resource...thanks, Mare.
Thanks, Candy.

Yes, it is 15,000 tier points to earn diamond now. He currently has 8000 tier points and if he does the 2500 tier in one day he will earn 5000 bonus tier points for that play which will put him at 15,500.

I agree with iamrice about the $1 9/5 JOB at Planet Hollywood. They're in the high limit room in a bank of 3 on one side. You have to walk into the room, turn right, walk just a little way and then turn around and look. They're on the backside of the bank. I've had pretty good luck on those machines in the past.
Thank you, Mare. I wasn't realizing bonus points would be added to the tier points. Thought his tier would just be doubled and he'd have 5000 to add to his 8000.

I've spent more time with mLife lately, now having to catch up with CET.
Not that I need to keep Diamond, but a few of the overall benefits I would miss.

Cheerio to everyone!
Diamond is super easy now, Candy. Two days of 2500 tier points with the 5000 bonus for each of those two days gets you right to diamond. Or... you can do one day of 5000 tier and get 10,000 bonus.
