Cromwell offering free rooms to me?

I got an email yesterday from Total Rewards that said.."Enjoy 3 free midweek nights @ The Cromwell, the only stand alone boutique resort on the strip (06/01-07/31/14) Call 888-2944840". Im going in August so there is no reason for me to call. However I am shocked that a little ol platinum, like me, has gotten this offer . Could it be that the Cromwells bookings are far below what they anticipated for thier hotel?

I gotta imagine that a number of other folks have gotten this same offer this week. I'm curious as to whether or not they send me 1 for August. I might just trade in 3 of my comped nights at Paris for the opportunity of visiting this new property and hitting their rooftop pool!

My husband and I each just received the same offer but we're going in a week and already have.4 nights comped @ Paris with some free play and others stuff. I'm curious to see if other offers come come Cromwell, all I did was walk through May, although hubby and I both got mailers offering just $50 each in free play that you don't have to be staying there to use. We I'll use this for sure.

Beware, Champ, the bathrooms are tiny, or at least they were when it was Barbary Coast.

I'm talking teensy, barely big enough to turn around in. Shower, no tub. Big enough room, tiny bathroom.

Unless I get word, or a tour, that the remodel enlarged the bathrooms, I won't stay there even for free. I need a big tub to relax in after long days of gambling!

Only got an email for 25% off rooms.

I've never been there and got the 3 mid week offer too. I really don't care for strip locations, so not much interest on my part.

Quick update on the Cromwell "free rooms" offer. I thought i'd give the Cromwell a call last night just to see what days were available. After a bout a 10 min "let me check the dates for this month" conversation from some CET phone person, the guy comes back and says "I'm sorry but all the comp rooms rooms are gone"! He then went on to "explain for 10 mins about how fast the rooms went which gave me a very uneasy (I"m getting jerked around) feeling. I thanked him and hung up.

I think that at least part of the reason why you received such an offer from them is that June, July and probably also August (depending on if some special event or major convention may be happening) are slow times not only due to the heat there but there are also more Graduations and Weddings that happen during those months. And so some of that could be that they were looking to fill up rooms at times when occupancy tends to be lower.
