DIAD/ Fuel Reward Promo

Just did the Diamond in a Day deal at Joliet. I then received an email about the promo for the Fuel Reward Network from Total Rewards. Has anybody used this? Just wondered how it works. I currently have a little over 15,000 tier credits and over $1000 in reward credits. I assume that my reward credits will not be used for the fuel purchased but want to make sure.
I've done a little research on the program, it's separate from Caesars TR program, so you don't use any of your TR points.

You have to go online and sign up for a FRN card, which will be mailed to you. At the time of sign up you link your TR account number to the FRN account so you start earning FRN points based on your play (kind of like earning TR points), which can be used at certain Shell stations for discounted gas.

I've looked up reviews online and it looks legit. Google Fuel Rewards Network and you will find out a lot of info.

Unfortunately for me, there are no FRN Shell gas stations in San Diego county so I haven't been able to take advantage of the program.
I have used the FNW a few times already. FoR every 500 tier points you get .10 off up to .50 max. You can only get .10 off a day of gambling no matter how many tier points you make.
The Fuel Reward promo is separate from any other CET benefits. But at max you can from CET gambling is get 50 cents off a gallon for ONE 20 gallon max fill up. Only one of my cars has more than 16 gallon capacity. So is it worth saving $10.00 a month? Sure if one of the participating Shell stations have a fair price but it is not a life changing amount.

I wondered if that was how it worked. The nearest Shell station to my location is about 23 miles. I would burn up 2 gallons of gas just to get there and back so probably not worth the trouble. Thanks for the info.

Here's how to get around that: You and another person drive two of your cars to the station. Best done on less busy days/times for that station. Pull your cars in parallel on opposite sides a pump (tank side by the pump, of course). Fill one car, then without hanging up the nozzel, hand the nozzel over to the other driver (or do it yourself) and fill the other car. Then hang up the nozzel, completing the transaction.
Joliet is also my home base casino. What did you play and how many hours. I imagine you just might favor quick hit.
Even tho my vehicles have 20+ tanks, I still find that it ends up being around 18 or so when I fill up. I now take a 5 gal can with me when I go so that I max out. Have done it 3 times so far.
We do the Shell Fuel Network and also have a gas can. With the gas can, you're not violating the 1 car rule. I've increased our amount off by shopping on line and doing it through the FN website. At Christmas time, they were doubling the amount off if obtained by shopping. And they're good for 2 months, so we've already has $1.70/gal off.
I haven't used it lately, but they were offering a 3 cent/gallon discount at some of the stations if you had the card even if you didn't have any rewards built up. They added a Shell station to Harrahs Rincon so when I travel down there from Los Angeles I can fill up there and get the discount.
