DIAD on a "budget"

I'm going to Las Vegas next week and it may be the only time that I can make it to a CET property this year. I've maintained diamond level by 3-4 trips to CET properties/year, and I like the perks that go along with it. I usually accrue 1000-1500 tier points/day on slots. While I'm assuming the answer is no, I am wondering if there is a quicker, more "cost effective" way of acheiving DIAD? I noticed that last year I played a little at PH and the Flamingo instead of all at Caesars and Paris (as I've done previously), and my offers took a HUGE hit. Thus, I'll be consolidating my play at 1 casino. Thanks in advance.
you pretty much just have to hope that you get a few good hits along the way. There really is no for sure way to guarantee you get X number of points without losing X number of $.

I do have to wonder why getting DIAD is something you want to do since this will be your only trip this year and you won't have a chance, except for the rest of that trip, to take advantage of Diamond perks. One of the best is the short check in, and you won't be able to take advantage of that.

My best advice for DIAD in Vegas........see if they have the multiplay $1 8/5 Bonus VP in the high limit room at PHo still. 1000 hands of 5 play will get you your 3000 tier credits. and the expected loss is about $300. The possible loss, though, is pretty high
Thanks for the advice, Karen. I guess my reasoning is because I just got my new diamond card last month which is valid through March 2012. So, I'm assuming (hoping) that if I do DIAD that it will be valid through March 2013. Right? Plus, I'm hoping that my offers will increase....I used to get $700 gift card or $1000 slot play offers, now they're down to $300 gift card and $400-500 slot play......although I'm attributing this to playing a little at multiple CET properties instead of limiting it 1 or 2.
I don't think thats right mjlass11.

Since you are Diam til 2012..............you will need to do DIAD AFTER this year.

Maybe another Diam. can confirm. But before you attempt.........Talk to the Players Club booth.
I think you will be wasting your $$$ and Effort, doing DIAD This Year!

Glad I brought this up, otherwise I would have been very irritated at myself if all I did was reconfirm my status for the year. Will definitely check at the TR booth. Thanks!!!
actually, someone posted somewhere, straight from the CET website, a statement that DIAD earned January through November expires the following March.

can't recall if it is on this site or elsewhere.

to extend to March 2013, either get the 11,000 tier credits this calendar year, or wait until 2012 and then do DIAD
Thanks again, Karen.....guess I got my 11000th tier credit in December, so that makes sense. Looks like I'll have to try to make it back again this December
You cannot do DIAD to renew Diamond if your Diamond card has not expired yet. You would have to wait until after March 31, 2012 when your Diamond card expires to do DIAD. And from what Karen posted, that would only be good until March 31, 2013.

I only earned 6500 points in 2010 but my Diamond card didn't expire until 3/31/11. Even though I did 3000 points on 1/2/11, it did not count as DIAD. My cards would not print with a 2012 expiration date and I confirmed it through email as well. I have earned 11,000 TC before March 31 this year and even with that I had to go to my "Dominant" casino to have them update my status so it would be good at all the properities.
Catherine - are you saying that you are Diamond even though you only earned 6500 pts in 2010? I thought tier points had to be earned in a calendar year.

I think she said that her Diamond card just expired last week because she only earned 6500 tier last year. The expiration date is always March 31
