Diamond Dinner Voucher

I just became Diamond last week at Harrah's Joliet. When I went to the TR desk to pick up my Diamond cards, they didn't mention anything about a $100 diamond comp, and it was early in the morning so I didn't think to ask for it.

My hubby and I are going to Vegas at the end of September and I would like to use my $100 voucher then at one of the CET restaurants. What is the best way to go about asking for this? Should I ask for it next time I go to Joliet, or should I wait to get it when I get to Vegas? I just don't want to screw up and have them say, oh you should have gotten it the day you became Diamond, or something like that.

Is it actually like a paper voucher which I will have to bring with me when I go to Vegas?

You just wait until you want to use it and then you get a voucher for the dinner. When you get to Vegas ask for a list of the resturants and they will give you one. I made Diamond at Council Bluffs and didn't even know about the dinner until I got to Vegas and someone at Ceaser's players club told me about it. It is good until March of 2014. I haven't used mine yet.

Someone posted a link that showed all of the restaurants where you can use the comp in Vegas. It may have been Jean Scott. Anyway, I printed it out to take with me for our trip coming up this weekend. Just about every restaurant in every property was listed.

I read about this perk on the chat boards and asked about it at the Flamingo TR booth and I had a voucher in 30 seconds flat. They gave it to me based on making diamond last year, I have not made diamond this year yet. They did ask if i wanted to use it in Vegas and I said yes.

I threw away my list before i came home, but remember all the buffets were included as well as most of the steakhouses. Mesa Grill was included, Mon Ami Gabi was not. I used mine at Ruth Chris Steakhouse at Harrahs and it was fantastic. We were seated at one of the 'diamond' tables beside the glass windows with a full strip view and that was awesome.

The $100 needs to be used up in one meal. At Ruth Chris, we ate very well and our bill was $1.35 plus tip after the voucher.

Not too many diamond members seem to know about this voucher. I told at least two people about it in the Diamond Lounge at Paris.

We used ours at the Sterling Brunch, got a 20% discount since we ate with an employee, and used just $34 in reward credits. Wow!

teach8, great choice that's where I plan to use mine.

Used hubby's at Rincon's Fiore their fine dining restaurant. Since we have learned to ask to split salads and main courses, it covered our porterhouse steak, our salad, 2 side dishes, and 2 chocolate decadent cake pieces. We had our drinks earlier in the Diamond lounge where cost is slightly more reasonable than the restaurant. Rincon is a California Indian owned casino managed by Harrahs so alcoholic drinks costs cannot be paid with comps, reward credits, or charging to your room(at checkout you would have to pay for any liquor you charged to the room.)
