Diamond free dinner????

I've read that Diamond members are invited to a free annual dinner, also that in the year they become diamond, there is a free meal. I was never offered any of these perks. I also do not have a host. Any recommendations or are the perks i mentioned not real?
In a year in which you earn 15000 points, you get a $100 meal comp that can be used essentially any time. When you want to use it, go to total rewards and ask for it.
I found some booth agents unaware. A supervisor should be called if needed. But even my smooth access to this "aspirations" comp at NOLA left this unanswered. Is it good when you cross the line or in the next year? After a reasonable discussion with the booth boss in NOLA, I literally walked without knowing if I was being comped for '12 or for '13. The boss simply took the computer's 'word' that I had a comp of 100 coming. I'll try to find out in Tunica next week. Good luck!
I made diamond in Sept. and was told I had until March 31 to use my $100 reward, good thing I'm going next month. Hubby made diamond in Nov. so now we have another reward!

The $100 dinner is not well advertized by CET when you earn it and you have to ask for it at the Total Rewards booth. Also some restaurants take the voucher and not others so make sure to ask for a particular restaurant first. Finally, the voucher has an expiration date (I recall it is seven days) so don't have it issued unless you will use it that trip.
Hubby and I used both of ours for the Sterling Brunch , which is going away!!!! So sad.

My brother used his $100 reward last December. We used it on the Caesar's dinner buffet. As I recall it said it was good for any Caesar's owned eating establishments. This would include all the buffets, otherwise you might have to check with the individual specific restaurant.
As noted, you have to ask for it, at any Total Rewards booth. I was given a card that has the participating eateries at all CET properties listed. No partial redemption, so use it where you will get the full value.
Was told by staff at Sterling Brunch that it would be moving location while the Steakhouse is made over and not closing.
I used my 2013 dinner in Atlantic City in the summer. I renewed Diamond in Las Vegas in December of this year and tried to get the $100 for that to use at Ruth Chris. I was told it wouldn't be available until after March, 2014.
