I wont be in town....I was just curious to see what hotels were charging during the big race. Ellis Island is charing $1000/night....plus they wont let you book it just for the race. You have to check in on THursday at the earliest and checkout no later than Sunday. Which means you are on the hook for $3K. FOR ELLIS ISLAND.
Better be one helluva race.
I, for one, don't care if it's the entire cast of a topless revue racing down the street in nothing but their 12" heels, I wouldn't go to this damn race even if I happened to be carried to it across the country in a Rolls Royce limo driven by the Rat Pack. This is the most over over-hyped, over-priced piece of crap to ever hit a Vegas toilet. Prices are this stupid high to watch a bunch of people drive around Vegas streets? No thanks, I'd rather watch the skin peeling off of a sunburned egg fried on the pavement leading to the gates of hell.
I believe that the only thing good that will come out of this race will be the freshly paved streets.
Really don't care for racing, so I will be nowhere near Vegas for this F1 event. Will be interesting to hear the final numbers for attendance and what people thought of it, but won't go myself.
I can't believe it. I am not a racing fan Yet if I were would never pay $1000.

A business owner the other day told me everyone is greedy these days. He doesn't like it, but he said to survive, he needs to be greedty too.
Vegas is dead too so many "regulars" and booming for the 20's something bitcoin and real estate crowd especially from Canada.
Sounds like Thursday is the *latest* you can check in and you have to checkout no *earlier* than Sunday?
