Escape to TR players-if you won the sweepstakes prize, would you take the trip or the cash?

Trip is valued at $50,000 includes hotel accommodations for 4 people (2 hotel suites at CET LV property of winner's choice), private jet service transportation to LV, VIP entrance to all CET LV nightclubs, a host to help with travel and hotel bookings.

Or you can take $10,000 cash.

Since I live in the Los Angeles area the airfare is not that big a deal and the nightclub admit wouldn't be used, so I would take the $10,000 cash and make my own LV trip plans. That's also $40,000 less I'd have to claim on my income taxes.

I tend to agree with you - take the cash. The taxes really kill this deal.

Similiar question - how about the full gameboard win? Cash or the trip?

Great question.
I'd take the cash.
If you can somehow prove a reduced value on the trip you can claim that true value for your taxes rather than the Caesar's claim of $50k.

$50k is ridiculous.

No mention of freeplay cash, no mention of Celine Dion or Elton John. Not even a mention of FOOD other than making reservations for you (it mentions "service.").

They didn't need to have the private jet; First Class on a big jet would be nice, which many of us are more comfortable with and would enjoy.

I think they are aiming this contest at people who do not know Vegas. You can tell that by some of the "enthusiasm" on other boards. Maybe they don't know about taxes, port fees, bag fees, etc.

Sweepstakes - take the cash

Full Board trip - take the cash

Cash, I don't care about 2 fancy suites or the club scene, I am also full capable of making my own reservations. I would do my own private party for a lot less money, have lots of gambling stash, enough for several trips.
At this point I would be happy just get CET to give me my spins and verify my card wins and my gift card wins in that awful game.
Ok, according to the "official rules" the fullboard trip to hopefully one of the winners 5 CET destinations take the trip or $1,000 cash. There are also a total of five fullboard winners Cruises. Because they ran the 2 prizes for a fullboard win together, I'm not sure of the cruise valuation. I think it is $3,500, but see how they didn't separate the two prizes.

"Collect and Win Game Prizes: ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN (111) FULL BOARD CHOOSE YOUR TRIP PRIZES: Winner's choice of a trip for two (2) to a Caesars Entertainment destination, or $1,000 USD cash. If winner selects the trip option, winner will have the opportunity to rank his/her top five (5) destinations from a list of thirty-five (35) destinations determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor will determine the Caesars Entertainment destination to which each winner will travel in its sole discretion. Notwithstanding the foregoing, and depending on the availability of the destinations selected, Sponsor will make best efforts to award each winner a trip within his/her top five (5) destinations. Trip package includes roundtrip coach-class air transportation from a major airport near winner's home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion), to a major airport near the selected Caesars Entertainment destination; and up to four (4) nights' accommodations the selected Caesars Entertainment destination (single room, double occupancy). ARV: $3,500 USD. FIVE (5) FULL BOARD NORWEGIAN CRUISE PRIZES: A seven (7) night Norwegian cruise aboard the Epic for two (2) to the Caribbean. Trip package includes roundtrip coach-class air transportation from a major airport near winner's home to Miami, FL arranged and paid for by Caesars Entertainment, seven (7) nights' aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line's ship the Epic (single room, double occupancy), awarded in the form of a certificate; and VIP access to shows aboard the ship (details of VIP access determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion)." I didn't see a cash option if you didn't want the cruise. There were further conditions about the cruise prize, but no other mention of ARV. Seems to me the cruise value should be higher than $3,500 since airfare to Miami is included.

So is the CET property trip valued at $1,000(amount of cash if don't want trip)? If they had offered cash for the instant win LV trip I turned down, I would have taken the cash, but it wasn't an option. That trip was valued at $1,500 for 2 nights but it included a concert by an artist they didn't name.

The more I read of all the conditions and restrictions for the cruise, I'd probably turn that down and hope there was a cash option they forgot to list in the "official rules"

> it included a concert by an artist they didn't name.

The concert that weekend is probably Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley at Planet Hollywood. I got an offer for the concert and two free nights at Harrah's or IP (nothing to do with the contest, just a post card offer).

tonycc, you must be right because the hotel turned out to be PH. That's much better than Cee Lo for me, but still not worth $1,500. I thought maybe since all the winners of that trip had to be there that specific weekend there might be some sort of cocktail hour or dinner. Not so I was told when I inquired before turning down that prize.

I do think they are looking for new young bodies to support CET in the future.
I think the purpose of the contest is to attract new people and drive people to the website. Unfortunately, the majority are willing to spin 11 times a day for the chance to win a prizes. By majority I mean cusumers in general not the active posters on this board.
