Fab Luxury Rooms at Flamingo

I just saw these on the TR site.
Has anyone here stayed in one. How does it compare to the deluxe or GO rooms?
I haven't stayed in one yet but I do know those are rooms remodeled within the past 4-5 months. The FAB rooms are just coming online now. They are renovated Deluxe rooms. Currently they are the rooms with views of the strip.

I have stayed in Deluxe rooms before and after two stays in those rooms within the past two years I will never book them again. I thought my last Deluxe room had grey carpet until I realized the color was coral. It was that dirty. Add torn lampshades by the bed, no lampshades (just bare bulbs) in the bathroom, badly nicked furniture and 15 year old 20" tube TV and you have a Deluxe room. The only reason I didn't go back downstairs and switch rooms was because it was a one nighter before switching hotels.

Botton line, the FAB rooms look decent and would be worth the $10 extra per night they are charging over the Deluxe rooms.

I love the Flamingo for its location, but wish they would just remodel all of their rooms! I don't care what they call them or how they're themed; I just want them to be less crappy! And we shouldn't have to pay a surcharge for that! If I want a room that's below-par I'll stay at the Imperial Palace! Oh wait, maybe their standard rooms are nicer? I don't know.

al my room there was similar except i had lumpy carpeting. it was for one night before moving to bellagio. i have not stayed there since. the flamingo should reno all there rooms; there location on strip is fantastic.

I'm leaving for LV tomorrow and staying at the Flamingo again. This time in a comped GO luxury. That's the only reason I'm staying there. My in-laws arrive Wednesday and I have already advised them to upgrade to a FAB room if they can. If they get the FAB I'll reply to this thread next week on what the rooms are actually like.

We had a renovated room in July. I wasn't aware of a special name or if it is considered a Fab room. We paid $10 extra a night. The room faced the pool. It was quite large and had a newer, high bed that faced a sitting area, which all faced a flat screen TV on the wall. The bathroom was tiny, not big enough for two people to be in there. The bathroom also had an old musty smell to it.

We arrived on a Thurs. and all the GO rooms were booked for the next few nights. I am sure this room was a good alternative to the old rooms, but the only way I will stay there even on a comp, is to be guaranteed a GO room. (I will pay the $40 for GO)

Wow... I had no idea that the Bird was so depleted. My parents have friends that have stayed there, every year for the past 20 years. I know that they always book the cheapest...

I will be spending 2 of my 5 comped nights there in March in a "Deluxe" Room... I am somewhat frightened now.

Wonder if I should call and ask and see about the Fab Luxury room. They look nice, no carpet though by the looks of the pictures. I wonder if it will sound "echo-ish|" and if you can hear through the roof and walls because of it...

After reading some reviews, I am wondering if I should stick with this room I have booked or stay somewhere else.

Back from LV. My in-laws did stay in a deluxe room. It was slightly better than our past experiences in a deluxe room but not by much. It served as a functional room with a bed and shower. Carpet not as dirty as ones we had in the past.

We had a GO room which was much better.

I just checked prices for a trip in March. The Fab rooms are now the same price as the Go rooms.
Price went up since I started this thread.

Also noticed that the Fab room is now a few dollars more than Ballys North tower deluxe .

I am comparing prices from the LVA hot deals link. These are better than the total rewards site, and are not influenced by your player rating.
The new Fab rooms do not have carpeting. They were not supposed to be available until January, but they had a few ready, so I was able to stay in one Christmas night comped for one night.

The flooring isa wood-like tile, as it shows on the website pics. Problem was it was slick, I got up in the night to use the restroom and about fell on my a$$, and I was barefoot!

Decor is much nicer than the old rooms before the renovation. The deal breaker for me is the bed - it was a pillow top, but it was the hardest pillow top I've ever slept in. My shoulders hurt in the morning. At least the bed in my room was really hard, my assumption is they bought the same mattresses for all the renovated rooms.

the Flamingo is my fave, love the GO rooms, but was hoping I would like the Fab rooms more. Might try it again, but if the bed is that hard the next time, I will have to change rooms.
