Flamingo

Couple of trivial questions -
1. Does the flamingo have ice machine in the corridors?
2. Do all guests receive a coupon book or is it something you have to specify when booking?

We've been to Vegas before and stayed in the Imperial Palace, where we had both of the above, so I kind of assumed it was a given for all hotels, so just wanted to double check. Also a bit OT but last year we had a coupon for a coupon book from the forum shops (how complicated!) but can I just go to customer services and ask for one this time round??
Welcome to the boards!

Flamingo has the longest halls in Vegas, you may want to ask for one near an elevator bank. The main elevator bank is often very crowded, there is a better bank that goes to the pool area, buffet and restaurants, my favorite is the one nearest the parking decks. It is never crowded. There are plenty of ice machines. Behind the Flamingo at Flamingo is a mom-and-pop store with cheap bottled water and daily necessities. It is at Flamingo Rd under the monorail tracks.

You are usually given a coupon page at check-in, it covers several of the Total Rewards casinos. There are often girls giving out coupons on the Strip in front of Flamingo.

Good luck and have fun!
Thanks very much, that's really useful especially about the store, I'm always amazed how much more expensive the hotel shops are for basic things like water and snacks! Will also ask about a room near an elevator, as I didn't know about the halls - much appreciated!
My last trip, two of the ice makers on the floor I was on were out of service. The other two I ran into, were completely empty due to people walking all the way across the towers to use them. (Longest hotel halls in Vegas I've ever dealt with).

Coupon book? I never got one. You do get one if you sign up for a new account for Total Rewards.

Bally's usually gives a sheet of coupons at check in.
All Harrahs/Caesars resorts in Vegas give you a sheet of coupons when you check in, including Flamingo.
I've never received a sheet of coupons at Caesars.

Same here.

maybe at the total rewards booth?

The coupons are usually for Caesar's OTHER properties - not the one you are at. I always find that annoying.
