Flamingo

I have comped rooms over Labor day at Flamingo and Ballys. I usually stay at Ballys. My Son and Girlfriend want Flamingo. Is the pool a zoo? Heard they have adult pool with limited chairs. How's their Sportsbook? Want to watch the OSU game but would like to play VP watching it. Any suggestions?

I haven't stay at The Flamingo for years, so I can't help.  I'm curious however..... OK or Ohio?

Haven't walked through Flamingo in maybe 10 years, never played there, but I recall the lovely pool area in back of the hotel.  Quiet, lots of greenery, wedding chapel nearby (maybe two?) added to the ambiance (you could walk through them if no wedding going on).  Not really a kid place at the time.

We never stayed there but I always thought it was the nicest back of the property pool area.  Live flamingos and other birds walking about, don't know if they are still there.  At the time, the pool was one of their best features, IMHO, yet it might not appeal to the younger folks, depending on expectations.  Hopefully someone with more recent information will respond.

My info is about three years old, as in pre-covid, but I remember that Flamingo has/had two pools, one family-friendly and the other more or less reserved for adults. Bally"s, if memory serves, has one large pool.

Another consideration is whether either pool is open to kids on the weekends. And of course, since different casino megablobs own the two respective properties, you'll be able to get in one for free but not the other.

(Remember when pool access was an amenity you'd take for granted as part of being a guest?)

I'd call each property and ask specific questions; I've learned to not rely on whatever is on their websites.
