Flamingo VIP Check-In

Hi Everyone!

We are going to Vegas again November 11 to 18 for my birthday and we can't seem to get a good rate at the Rio. (Tuesday thru Thursday is really pricey!)

So we are booked for the Flamingo. Have never stayed there before. At the Rio they have a VIP Check in Area that Platinum are able to use. Does anyone know if Flamingo has something similar?

Any other tips about staying there?

We are hoping that the pricing for Rio will change and we can book there.

Thanks!

Nov. 11th is Veterans Day, a Federal Holiday, and a Friday.
Thus the room rate you are seeing for that particular week, probably.

Haven't stayed at Flamingo, so I can't help you there.

Did you talk to a Host about Rio room rates, since you have stayed there and are Plat?

Good luck and have a fun birthday in Vegas.
My daughter is platinum and she said they have a vip check in. I hope she is right cause the lines at regular check in are horrible!!!!!!
The Diamond/Platinum check in area is to the left of the main registration desk in a separate room.; just walk through the double doors. When I stayed there last September during the Labor Day weekend, there was still a line of at least 50 people at 2 A.M. waiting to check in at the regular desk. I've used the diamond check in area at the Flamingo a couple of times (last time was in March) and the people at the desk have been great.

I stayed at the Flamingo about six months ago and probably will not do it again. The GO room was OK but the elevators and halls that you needed to travel through were very different than the other Caesars properties. I rented a car and the valet was probably about the worst I have encountered at any property. It took a L-O-N-G time. I did my gambling elsewhere as I didn't particularly like the "vibe." It was nice to be close to the LINQ (which I really liked) but I think I will stick to Bally's or Paris. I did like the Diamond Lounge.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We could get Harrah's or the Linq for just a bit more than Flamingo. We could always change to there as an option.

I will say today the Rio's price went down $6 which is the first movement it's made in months. Maybe it will change more in the coming weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed.
2 years ago, yes. I'd use it. If they say something, oops, im sorry. I didn't know.
Many hotels have the check-in kiosks. I was at LINQ and there was a long line and no one was using the kiosks. I guess they would rather stand in line, or they didn't know kiosks were there and very easy and efficient to use.
