From what I've heard about the casino its not going to be attracting alot of players. Looks like you can probably go up in tiers from spending on rooms/restaurants/etc...which is probably the angle they are going for.
Meh.
Saw a video and the place is empty.
AC & Andrew reported lots of slots, high table limits & very little vp with poor pay tables.
Bankruptcy may be in their future.
Actually, they have very few slot machines relative to the property's size--only about half as many as the much smaller Durango. It may be as Anthony speculated--that they want to be a fine dining and entertainment rather than a gambling destination. If that's their target, then lousy and/or sparse gambling won't hurt them at all.
Rooms look nice...they start at $150 with another $51 resort fee...and another $21 in room taxes.
Its about on par with Resorts World across the street.
My theory is Vegas is quickly becoming overbuilt and cheap rooms are in our future. Lets check back in six months.
Imagine that - paying to park to view ANOTHER money gouging entity ...
Lucky me I still get comps with Cesar's rewards
i look at all the new places I wil go for lunch at one of
the restaurants But not paying that much for Las Vegas
property
Only one hotel in the world I would pay over $200 a night,
that is The Peabody Memphis
None of that matters. I can't wait to see it, maybe run a little money through a slot machine and see if any offers come. I might never darken the door again, but anything new in Las Vegas is of interest until I see it and make up my own mind.
And, I agree with Patricia re rooms. The best room, well two of them, that I ever stayed in weren't in Las Vegas. They were 1) the Omni in Washington DC, and one in Miami which I'm presently forgetting the name of. It had a huge long window and big window sill on which I sat and overlooked Biscayne Bay. Vegas Hotel lobbies are the draw; the rooms, even the best are meh IMO. I stayed in the Four Seasons in Las Vegas...nice place with excellent service but nothing to rave about re the room. Maybe our rooms at GVR rate highest in my memory. Very nice, nice touches in both. And I've stayed in suites at Bellagio, Wynn (a happenstance) and the best Executive Suite in Harrah's (again, a happenstance unrelated to my play there). That one (Harrah's) was impressive.
Vegas rooms and Strip view were fun/critically desired once or twice. Strip view highly overrated.
P.S., in both cases my "best" room was comped based on 1) my job and 2) my volunteering with the National Kidney Foundation. I got an award for the volunteering, which is why I was comped for that trip. Nothing to do with gambling.
Candy
Like you Candy, my wife and I will venture into the Fbleu just to check it out, just as we did at Resorts World. We'll play a bit and tour the grounds, but won't ever stay there.
Our last Vegas trip in Nov. we had a one night king room comped at Green Valley Ranch for our first night in town. We got in pretty late and they had no more king rooms availabe. But she said I think you are going to like this. We got a Villa ! 2500 square feet with a pool ! Two bedrooms , 4 baths, 2 of which were all tricked out, surround sound all over, and a pool table. I don't see that happening at Fbleu
