Gas card or freeplay offers

Well I'm back from CP after my sister deciding on the gas card over freeplay.

At CP, they gave out the gas cards and freeplay coupons upstairs in convention area. The gas cards were for either Chevron or Texaco.

There was also a drawing today at Paris for a Lexus Hybrid vehicle, she didn't win.

Our room was very nice in the Augustus tower with a nice view of the Bellagio fountains. This was really our second room as we were given keys to a room and when we opened the door it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned from prior guest. Needed a trip back down to Augustus tower checkin to get a new room.

The exact same thing happened to us at Harrah's this weekend. We were given the keys to a suite, only to open the door and find it filthy, with dirty dishes all over the place, and an unmade bed.

The second suite they gave us was no better. It was fairly clean, but the next morning when I turned on the water in the bath tub, out of the faucet came a big blob of black tar-gook water instead of clean water.

We checked out.

I know it was a busy Beyonce weekend, but the least they could do is clean the rooms.

Time to rethink Harrah's, I guess. A shame, because we really like the place.


On the question of the free slot play or gas card, we always get the free slot play.

We have been staying at Harrah's for years and never experienced the problems you mentioned. In June they put us on the 21st floor, last room on strip view side. Suite was small without closet and no doors on bathroom............I immediately requested different room and was moved with no problem.

We always take the free play vs gas card.

Right. The Mardi Gras suites have no doors on the bathroom, AND no doors on the toilet room (more of a toilet alcove).

Carnival suites are much better, although if you are too high up, the sinks sometimes sputter and glug a little. No big deal, really.
