Great Gift Wrap Up

Well it doesn't take you long to realize you are not on the same level as the others at this promotion.

With our lowly 43,000 in gift points we managed to use our points for golf balls for my husband and a Shark vacuum for me (merry Christmas).

Our check out clerk told us the most points she had heard about anyone having this time was 9 milliion...she had personally checked out someone who had 5 milllion points. There is some major shopping going on at this event. NINE MILLION POINTS...could he just buy one of everything they had?

If CET wants to complain about spending money on the Diamond lounges...how much does this promotion cost them. Its quite impressive...staff is everywhere to help with questions and tons of staff at check out...for 4 or 5 days, twice. Shipping costs to ship the "gifts". all those expensive items on the floor...

We checked out the "gift" program at MGM too...and when we pulled up our points and looked at how many points it took to purchase the lowest priced gifts...we both laughed out loud and kept walking.
My take on it is that you can bet they have it figured to the penny, and they will make money on those gift programs or they wouldn't do them.

I'm jinxed. Neither the Harrah's GGWU nor the MGM one has ever occurred when I could be off work. Poor planning on my part, I guess.

Then again, I'd spend a zillion dollars on the air fare and gamble more money than it would cost me to buy the stuff retail.

Then again, I went with CLV to claim her goodies at Ven/Pal, and it seemed like a lot of fun.

Hey, at least you got something for your play.
