Great Gift Wrap-up.........points & stuff........

Last year they gave 10K extra points when you made Diamond (reached 11k points), and 15k extra points when you reached 15k points. That's a total of 25k points if you did both.

Last year gift cards were priced individually based on the store and the denomination, but generally a $100 GC was 31.600 points, and this year they are 35,000 points.

I only look briefly at the merchandise because I don't need anything, but generally I found that the mercandise is a little better value than the gift cards. For example, the points for a $100 GC might be similar to the points needed for a Dooney and Burke purse worth $150. I would still go for the gift cards.

Last year we got $400 in Home Depot GC's, this year we will get $140. We both played much less. Tonycc will complete the Diamond before the GGWU, and I (bcc) will probably not complete it at all. I do not know of any bonus for completing Diamond this year, anyway.

I am planning on staying at a non CET hotel during the weekend of November 11-14. Will my stopping by Flamingo and doing the Great Gift Wrap UP trigger a Total Rewards day for my average daily balance?

I wonder if they are giving the extra 10k points for making Diamond this year?? I am a bit short and could make it just before I go in to redeem my points this month.

My points went UP about 10k........wasn't sure why?
So maybe thats what happened. Diamond points.

Thanks for 'splaining last years points, bcc. I think thats how I got some extra points last year.
But certainly not enough for DOUBLE the amount of Gift cards?
Guess thats why I'm stewing this year..........less gifts, for more Tier & points.

I will still collect my Gift cards (I think thats the best use of points)

I'm also staying at a NON-GreatGift wrapup Location.
Wasn't worried if it triggers a trip or not. Its end of the year.........and I don't care. lol

I was out of town and missed the chance to earn 5000 points by filling out a survey on the slot tournaments this year. Just saw it yesterday, but it had to be in by 10-31. Just my luck.

daveokc- don't feel too bad. 5,000 points would get you a $10 gift card or comparable value item.
Unless you had LOTS more points or planning to already be in town for GGWup, then you need not bother.

I plan to be in town during both Wrapups (only need to attend one) but like mentioned earlier,
you Don't have to stay at a CE prop to attend Wrapup.

C.L.V. - I am in town for the promo anyway, so I could have used the extra points. I will hit Diamond this trip, so maybe I will get a bonus from that.

Nov. GGWup is overwith.....went very smoothly, and if you knew what you wanted, could get in & out
in no time flat......ordering line was short..........
Sounds like some people got their gifts already.
I ordered Gift cards. Nothing yet.

Posted on other GG thread that Gift cards arrived couple days ago.
Hopefully all the Nov. Wrap-uppers got their gifts by now.
