For your sake I hope I'm wrong, as I understand the rules, one needs to play at the casino they swipe at.

My friend emailed last night (I know you replied to me on the other board too, but I thought I'd post this info here too in case anyone needed it).

Here is her email and their response:

Dear Ms. N:

Thank you for contacting Bally's! We appreciate your interest in our Great Race to Rewards! In answer to your question, Ms. N, yes, as long as you opted in at the destination your play at any of the properties would qualify for the promotion.

I trust this information is helpful, and please let us know if we can assist you with anything else.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Your Question 08/23/2012 01:15 PM
A few days ago, I swiped my card to opt in for the Race To Rewards at Rio. I however played and got my 25 points at Caesars. I am hoping I will still receive the proper credit for that destination, as I hope to get all of the destinations needed for $750.

Well, that is good info--and not the way I originally understood the rule. Thanks for posting!

I think I wasted my time in Cleveland. I asked the person at Total Rewards where to swipe for the Great Race and she looked confused. She did make me a new card even though I did not ask for one. I then tried to explain and she said to swipe near the cashier cage which I did. Now I am thinking that those are just for the free parking because nothing popped up for the Race. I did email TR and asked about it but haven'e gotten an answer yet. I guess I should have checked with someone else while I was there. My fault. I guess it wasn't a total waste because I stopped there on the way back to Detroit from Pittsburgh and did end up winning a little bit.
They swipe at the TR desk. The promotion kiosks are for parking and also for drawing entries, multi points etc.

I usually get replies pretty quickly when emailing TR.

I hope you get it all worked out!

No kiosk, must go to TR booth.

Yeah!! Got a response from TR. They said that I did use the wrong kiosk but they swiped me in anyhow. Also said that from here on I should make sure I swipe at the TR desk. One thing I can say about CET/HET is that I have never had a problem with their customer service. Thanks to all the helpful advice on here.
heading to vegas and laughlin in a few days-----note that the vegas casinos have tightened and require id's----if any on just swipes please advise-----any info on laughlin?----thanx in advance---
Laughlin is show ID. Also, Laughlin and Vegas count as the same market - no extra points for visiting both.
Out of all the casinos we have visited for the Great Race the only one that required a swipe at the TR desk was Cleveland. All the others were kiosk swipe (St. Louis, Tunica(Horseshoe and Roadhouse), Horseshoe SI, Horseshoe Hammond). The correct swipe kiosks all had a picture of the Great Race logo on the screen and all indicated that we were in for the Great Race after the swipe. All kiosks were not Great Race oriented. For instance in Hammond only two of about five had the Great Race picture. At Horseshoe SI about 1/2 had the picture. So be sure to see the logo before you swipe and be sure to get the indication that you were successful in gaining Great Race entry. When in doubt ask at the TR desk where to swipe. We asked each time to be sure. We have 10 points and will be in Reno next week for point 11 which gets us 50,000 credits each. We are down about $160 to date so I like this deal. Also it was a good excuse for a road trip.
Is it Swipe at ALL the Tunica casinos?
I know fingerstim posted that Horseshoe and
Roadhouse were swipe--but what about
Harrahs Tunica?
Thanks. . . .
